Help finding UK tour capacities/attendances the last 4 years
-
May seem like a daft question (!), but just wondered if anyone knows this kind of stuff - or knows where i can find out! I'm making a photobook for xmas of my Paul photos (from 2009 onwards, didn't take good enough cameras from 1990 to 2009 - apart from for 2 of them, so book starts in 2009!) and would like to write the venue capcacity under the date
So does anyone know how much each of these buildings holds for concerts? (Or how many were actually there for the gig? It's weird footie matches give attendences afterwards, and gigs never do!) It may be easier to find actual venue capacity rather than attendance!! 1) Dec 2009, O2 Arena, London 2) June 2010, Millenium Stadium, Cardiff 3) Dec 2010, O2 Academy, Liverpool 4) How many were on the soundcheck package for Manc Arena Dec 2011?! 5) Dec 2011, Manchester Arena 6) Dec 2011, Liverpool Arena 7) March 2012, Royal albert Hall 8 ) how many people were claimed to have been watching the Covent Garden mini gig? Thank you!!!

i guess i'm not going to able to do this, cos so many conflicting answers! Even just looking at Manc Arena - there's an official capacity of 21,000. But seated concerts listed as "Conventional end-stage concerts ? 13,500?15,800 (fully seated)". But how can a wiki page be accurate!! So maybe best not putting it in, just thought it would be cool to show that cardiff was something like 60,000 and liverpool 2010 was about 1200. But don't want to commit wrong numbers to a book forever!!

- O2 Arena 2009 was obviously sold out, was this a proper general admission standing gig, or seated? I fear the latter, then it was 20,000. The standing capacity would be 23,000. It's on the O2 site. Although I've been there myself and it's hard to believe the difference between seats on the field and standing tickets would be only 3,000, this is the most accurate information you can get. EDIT: tickets available for the same venue in 2011 were 16,225. Source: http://www.webcitation.org/query?id=1327995081254957&date=@0&fromform=1 2) "near sell-out", "a crowd of nearly 60,000" (http://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/wales-news/sir-paul-mccartney-wows-millennium-1915251)) Capacity must be around 73,354, the number U2 played for, and which is the highest music concert audience the stadium ever had.

- Is easy. He might sold out this club in Liverpool ;). Capacity 1200 people. 4) You will never get to know this one. Best bet is to ask over here to people who were there to make an educated guess 5) 14,800 of the 15,288 tickets sold. Source same as linked above.
