Later this year will mark the 50th anniversary of the release of Wings debut album, Wild Life. But it was 50 years ago today ( Saturday 24th July 1971) that recording sessions began for the album  in studio 2 at Abbey Road studios.

So it was on this day that work began on Bip Bop, Love Is Strange and I Am Your Singer, while further work was done on Dear Friend, a track recorded that April during the Ram sessions in Los Angeles.

Wembley Empire Pool, London  (Wings) 21st October 1976.

'Take It Away' video shoot Elstree studios, London 23rd June 1982.

'Give My Regards To Broad Street' film premier, London 29th November 1984.

Docklands Arena rehearsal concert, London 5th February 1993.

Run Devil Run launch party, Equinox Club, London 30th September 1999.

      O2 Arena, London 22nd December 2009.

      O2 Arena, London 5th December 2011.

IMO quite possibly the worst McCartney album ever made but to each their own -lol

It's definitely not my favorite, but I love the song Tomorrow!

I think a lot of fans would agree with you,its certainly uneven  and all over the place with its arrangements. But personally I find it a charming album to listen to,the performances are very organic in nature. I certainly enjoy it more than say the clinically more polished Wings albums like Red Rose Speedway and London Town.

26th July 1971 and the third consecutive day of recordings. Fifty years ago today Wings were recording Mumbo, Tomorrow and the albums title track, Wild Life.

I like Wild Life. It's one of my less favorite albums, and in my opinion not nearly as good as Red Rose Speedway and London Town, but I do enjoy it. I actually like both Mumbo and Bip Bop (though I know some fans don't), and the run from the song Wild Life through to Dear Friend is all good. Love is Strange is the only song  I don't like much.

Well I keep thinking how good "Red Rose Speedway" could have been if it ended as a Double Album the way Paul originally intended.  The actual album solidified (especially to the anti-Paul critics) the idea that Paul was "too soft" with the last 2 tracks..."Loup and the Medley".  It should have had the really good rockers like "The Mess, Night Out, Best Friend and Live and Let Die".  At least the real Paul fans got the 2018 Archive/Remaster Edition that showed how many great songs the early Wings' band had at the time.  Besides the rockers I mentioned, the early incarnation or Wings were playing songs like Country Dreamer, I Lie Around, Mama's Little Girl, I Would Only Smile (Denny Laine), Thank You Darling, Jazz Street, and 1882.

Some People Never Know was probably my 3rd favorite Wildlife song after Tomorrow and Dear Friend.  I especially liked Paul and Linda's harmonies.  The only negative to me was that the track was too long at over 6 minutes.

initially, I loved "Hey Jude" when it came out.  I was surprise that "radio" played it that much since the ending was so long.  It showed the strength of the Beatles.  They changed everything including radio.

Don't get me wrong about "Some People Never Know".  I like it quite a bit.  Just think it would have been better at 3-4 minutes.  It gets a little repetitious at well over 6 minutes.
