Best ever show must be
-
Paul's best ever gig must have been Liverpool kings dock. Perfect vocals. Home concert, great setlist, special tribute to John, purpose built arena, everything about the gig was perfect
-
Hm, I know the footage, and I can certainly imagine that, but... As a fan not even born at the time: give me the current band and setlists over it any day.
-
Las Cruces, NM in 1993! Why? Because I was there and it is the only show he has ever done in my state!
-
I guess Paul's best show is the one we were at, with all the happy memories attached to it.
-
Opening night, Wings Over America, Ft. Worth, TX, 1976. I still remember ever second! The world learned that night what I already knew. Wings rock!

I saw this show in Denver about a month later, and it was brilliant!

I have attended 3 shows in Liverpool, Kings Dock 1990 and 2003 and Anfield 2008. Those shows do have a different vibe because he is in Liverpool, the scouse accent comes out and his family is in attendance. For me it's a tie between the 1990 show and Boulder, CO 1993 when I was in the front row. Yes, I'm a fan of the Lumpy Trousers band.

Cool! I was in the 11th row in Boulder in 1993, that was also a great show!

For me, it was the Seattle show last year. All of the surviving members of Nirvana for the encores, and "Long Tall Sally"! Wow!
-
hate to sound corny but every show is the best if you are there...1976 Wings Over Boston...with my big sisters.....then Brooklyn 2013, took one of my sisters on a road trip....Fenway 2009 with my best friend for a crazy night of alcohol infused madness...Fenway 2013 finally got the wife to go....which led to Albany 2014, wife is now a convert!
-
The best Paul show has to be your first paul show. Been fortunate to see Sir Paul 4 times (fifth coming up in 3 months)! And each has been spectularly special - but there's nothing like the first time. April 23, 2002 in Washington DC will always be a special night.

I don't think that is corny, I think it is true. Whatever show YOU went to is the best one. Also, because of how memory works, the most recent one tends to SEEM like the best one. Paul puts on a great show. No arguments.

Most exciting opening - Driving USA Opening Night - Oakland Arena 2002 Best setlist - 2005 US Tour Best sound - An Evening with Paul McCartney - The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas 2009 Best overall concert performance - Hollywood Bowl Night 2 - Up and Coming Tour 2010.
-
I agree that it is whatever show you are at.

Sometimes... I think the best show is the NEXT one. I love (and hate) the anticipation. I have just over 12 weeks until the Greensboro show & it's KILLING me! I love thinking about and making a sign. I love thinking about what I'm going to wear.
