Well, they need to do something. And soon! Maybe she can get the powers that be also fix some of the problems that STILL exist here!
You are very optimistic my little oobu24. I think that the people who manage Mr. McCartney's commercial and media communication would rather concentrate on social networks like Facebook or Twitter than on a forum that hardly interests anyone anymore. That even the two people who delete these spams. I'm not sure they can do anything for us. Apart from passing on information, and then again. Can they do that ?
I am not optimistic about anything around here but it doesn't hurt to give them a little nudge. This forum hardly interests anyone because of all the things that don't work here.
I don't think the shortcomings of this forum has that much to do with the interest in this forum. Plain and simple, Paul McCartney is and older artist with fan base that is dwindling due to age. In addition, most of the interest the last decade has been due to his tours and without him touring the posting has diminished.
You are 100% correct that too many things on this forum do not work well but to be honest with you that complaint is the same on most of these type of forums. I have participated in a couple of other forums for sports, theater and other artists and you read about the same type of complaints.
The "shortcomings" of this board may not have anything to do with lack of interest for new people but people that used to be on this board have complained the difficulties that they encounter here. Some can't even get back on board. But once he starts touring again, or IF he starts touring again...things will pick up.

What I funny is that judging by the view counts, people here are clicking on the spam topics. Why?

Curiosity?

Is there something like a complaint department or feedback of some kind that this could be known?
oh wait... -

Yeah, and look what that did to the cat?
I would have thought the subject headline would have given the content away without having to view the actual message.

In order to report them as SPAM.

I keep seeing the red dot 'new post' notification but when I get here (and on other boards) there are no new posts to be read. I'm assuming that spam posts are still being left and still being removed before I get the chance to see them?

When I log in and click on While You Were Away there are usually more red-dotted spam than real posts. Sometimes have to check page 2 or 3! Once the spam ones are deleted they stay around for a day or so before disappearing.

I've never used that feature and just rely on the main board index so see the topics with new posts.

How the heck do you know where to start? It's so much easier if every time you just click on While You Were Away and all the new posts pop up. You can choose which ones you want to look at.

I only ever view the The Performer and The People sections (I never bother with The World section for example). Then I simply click on the sub-menus and then click on the Thread titles that interest me. Its not hard work, honestly.

Yeah, those are the only sections I look at too. I just find it easier to click on While You Were Away.

I guess its just down to habit.
Btw,I've always thought there should have been a Wings section like there is for the Beatles. It'll never happen now of cousre.

Well, I guess the "I am not a robot" thing when logging in has cut out all the spam!

I think you have guessed right.
But what with having to flaff around clicking on fuzzy picces looking for motorcycles, and making sure that 'I'm not a robot', I think I preferred the spam to be honest.

I only had to "find the whatever" once (mine was bus). But have to click on the "I am not a robot" every time I sign in.
