    Campaign to find Paul's stolen Hofner bass

      This was posted a few years ago in another thread here, which I can't find.

      Wanted to let everyone know that a campaign has been started by Hofner to help find Paul McCartney's missing bass, that was stolen in 1969.  (See link below.) If anyone ever happens to see an expensive Hofner for sale that looks like it could be the stolen item, Paul would probably be so happy and eternally grateful to see his long lost friend again!

      Detailed description of the bass is in link below.  I sent an email to them when I saw a $250,000 Hofner for sale on Ebay.  They said it wasn't the missing one, but appreciate any leads.   Unfortunately his bass didn't have a manufacturer number, as they didn't start doing that until later, so will be more difficult to identify.
