        I agree! John was always double-tracking his voice and wanting to change it. He didn't like his own singing!

          Was he really that insecure?  About his voice I mean.  A leading member of the world's most famous band, not liking his voice.  Makes him very human, doesn't it?  Sort of endearing.   Poor John.

            I donno. Maybe as a gimmick or a one song thing. All the time?  Not really. Like finding a weird instrument in the studio - give it try and experiment with it, but not all the time.
