Friends, I am starting to get very worried. I cannot FIND any flights to missoula for under $700 round trip from Indy. I need 2. We have soundcheck tickets. Not meaning to whine, but does anyone have advice on how to get a decent price? In May, there were some for $588. Now, the $700 round trip ones aren't even on the correct date. I hope to God we don't have to DRIVE out there. Just saying.

Try a travel agent; there are some still around and they can search every fare and fare class for you easily. Unfortunately, these days airfares tend to go up quickly and while sometimes they do go back down, I learned the hard way that is not always the case. I recently made the mistake of thinking that a $450 airfare was too high so I figured I would watch it for a while to see if it would drop. Instead, I watched it go up to almost $700, same as your Missoula fare. I managed to find some flights that were "only" $600 and kicked myself for not buying at $450.

ohmygosh. THANK YOU, DrivinFan and NightFish. I JUST booked for $503 each from your link. WHEW!!!!! I called first to my motel to book another night because I realized that would cost much less than getting a flight out of there the morning after the concert. And, now we can sleep in since, apparently, 6am flights are the only ones out of there. Thank you, thank you, thank you both!!!!!

So...where is the action at in Missoula? Is there a good place for board members to meet up? Being a college town I imagine there are lots of places to hang out? Anyone else staying at the Doubletree?

We're at Motel 6 only because it's the closest to the venue to walk. We didn't want to get in the traffic after the concert. There is at least one other board member who will be there. Probably lots more. We are staying the 6th also because we couldn't get a flight out that day. If anyone else wants to meet up on the 6th, I'm sure there will be an easy place to all get together.

My sister was going to try and make this show, but said it was difficult finding convenient flights in and out of Missoula. So she opted for Minneapolis instead.

Missoula ain't that big, 110,000; e.g. only one flight a day from Portland, an Alaska Dash 8Q, which carries only 70 passengers. There are still floor seats coming up on griztix.com too.

Does anyone have restaurant recommendations for Missoula? We're staying close to campus and will be hoofing it or ordering take out.
