Shows to binge

I am looking forward to the last season of The Last Kingdom. Hopefully, Utred will have better luck with lady love in the ending. Fingers crossed.

Me too - season 5 on Netflix sometime this year!

I went through all eight (or was it nine?) series of Homeland in a fortnight recently, which was the third time I've watched the complete series. Brilliant show and a great shame it has come to an end.

I've always wondered why the Brits call them "series" and in the U.S. we call them "seasons." To us a series is a synonym for TV show, but is rarely used here. (We might say "I like the TV series Outlander.")

It is strange although the use of the word 'season' is becoming a little more popular. A 'series' of shows makes more sense to me though as a 'season' suggests a time of year.

That's the U.K. and the U.S. for you - two nations separated by a common language!

Yeah. It's one of the best series I've seen. Not holding my breath for a happy ending, but it would be nice.

Because I saw it in this thread:
I skipped past The Last Kingdom when surfing for something to watch. I figured I have seen enough of this type of show and movie. I saw it written here and so I sampled it at first - meaning roughly if it grabbed my interest and attention I would continue, if it didn't - I may have given it another chance at another time and see if it was just my mood at the viewing.
It turned out that this fit the binge watching description as I watched multiple episodes and did so in the days that followed... I got done shortly before the release of season 5... I finished that in a few or more sittings. My thanks for putting it in this thread. Not sure if I would have selected it or watched it if I didn't see it here. -
After I finish bingeing Vikings: Valhalla, I'm going to start on season 5 of The Last Kingdom.
-
At present I'm working my way through Strike Back at a series a week. Now up to series 5.

Right now I'm watching "The Flight Attendant" (Kaley Cuoco from "The Big Bang Theory") on HBO MAX. Really good!
See trailer for Season 2 below, believe it starts April 21.

The Vikings was really good. Season 5 of The Last Kingdom was great.

Binged The Last Kingdom the first day, 5am-6:30pm. Had to take a few breaks for meals. Now I'm reading there will be a movie, Seven Kings Must Die. Netflix supposedly only renewed through Season 5. It's one of the best series ever, imho.
Found this online: "with the film on the way in the near future (2023), we’ll get to see a dramatic and epic conclusion to the story of Uhtred of Bebbanburg."
Fingers crossed that Uhtred will find Lady Love who will stick with him!

I'm about to start ep. 7 of Vikings, then ep. 8 will finish it. Then on to The Last Kingdom!

I just saw this posted on FB. Mark Rylance will be in another season of Wolf Hall. I loved him as Cromwell. Good news for me and probably many others. I will definitely binge watch it.

I saw the first part of the trilogy, Wolf Hall, but not the 2nd part (Bring Up The Bodies) Looking forward to 3rd part (The Mirror And The Light)

I think Wolf Hall, the movie, included part of (or all of) Bring Up the Bodies. It's been a while since I read the first two books. I don't plan to read the third book.
