Last night, we finally got around to seeing the movie "Tick Tick Boom" on Netflix. It is the early story of Jonathan Larson before he wrote the musical "Rent".  I highly recommend this movie even for those people who are not into Broadway. The story is one most people can relate to if you know anybody who works in the arts. It shows the struggle of a young man trying to fufill his dream of writing a Broadway musical and still make a living to pay the bills. It also depicts how difficult it is to have a relationship with person whose #1 priority is their dream and your relationship is not as important. I love the music in this movie becase it obviously is in the same style of the music he eventually wrote for "Rent". This movie is also fun to see how many Broadway stars you can recognize in cameo appearances. BTW - Judith Light is great/funny in her role of Larson's agent. So if you have Neflix and have a couple of hours, try and see this because I think you will find it enjoyable.
