Woh woh woh no no no Happy New Year!

That's funny...reading the title to this, I thought the poster was lamenting no new tour announcements from Macca as yet. Woe Woe Woe I've never heard "A Toot and A Snore" but it sounds like its title is quite appropriate.

I just read in one of the Rolling Stone interviews in that glossy Paul tribute, Paul said he never ever did any heroin like John, but he did have a "toot" (and a snore) of Cocaine at one period.
Well, he did, and he said so in several interviews in the early 90s. He seems to have, ah, forgotten about it for the past 20 years, however.
I never read that. Seems like the press would be all over that and it would be widely known. You have a link to any of these interviews?
I'm with you, Nancy. John snorted (never injected) heroin late 68 through 69. Paul dabbled briefly with cocaine in 67, but stopped when he "disliked the incredible downer" {paraphrasing here} it bought with it. I recall Paul stating this in the 1986 Rolling Stone interview. Never have I heard or read of him using heroin in "several interviews," let alone one. If he did state this somewhere, unusually for me, I missed it.

He did indeed try heroin, actually: http://www.today.com/id/5121163 From the interview: ?I tried heroin just the once,? McCartney said in interview published Wednesday in the Daily Mirror newspaper about his drug use in decades past. ?Even then, I didn?t realize I?d taken it. I was just handed something, smoked it, then found out what it was. ?It didn?t do anything for me, which was lucky because I wouldn?t have fancied heading down that road,? the former Beatle was quoted as saying.

Okay, I can accept that. The way femaleanimal was talking, I thought he was mainlining it or something and we never knew! Once, by accident, I can understand.

The nasty connotation of one taking H involves a needle, and back then, it being passed around between a few.. .. A one-off and a smoke at that is a hell of a lot more digestible than imagining Paul ever injecting it.... I would've found that hard to impossible to believe!.... So, I'm not surprised by the revelation, at all. A "cigarette" being passed around... oh, by the way that was H. Incidental. Listened to A Toot and a Snore again today, for the first time in ages... Paul's voice is about the only one that sounds OK, or at least like he is trying... I'm sure he was loving the prospect of being there, and as the perfectionist, still gave his all, even as everything around him was collapsing.
