Today my wife and I were watching the Olympics on Peacock and we saw we could stream for free a new movie on Peacock called "Marry Me".  When we found out the stars in "Marry Me" were Owen Wilson and Jennifer Lopez we decided to watch it.  I have always liked Owen Wilson (especially the Vince Vaughn/Owen Wilson movies like Wedding Crashers and The Internship) and I always thought that Jennifer Lopez was a far better actress than a musician or singer.  After watching about 30 minutes of the movie I could understand why JLo agreed to do the movie.  It was a "blatant" commercial for all of her projects (movies, music, live shows, brands etc etc).  Still not sure why Owen Wilson would do it except it was probably a big payday for him.

We kept watching "Marry Me" hoping it would get better.  It was one of those things where you kept thinking this has to get better.  There were a few moments where Owen and Sarah Silverman had some funny lines but for the whole this movie or script had no depth or as they say "no meat on it" if you catch my drift.  They had cameos of Jimmy Fallon, people from the Today Show (NBC morning show) but hardly anything else.

Just want to see if anyone else has seen it.  I would definitely not pay money for "Marry Me".  It was awful and as I said, I like the main stars.

      Thanks

I have no desire to see it and I think the only Jennifer Lopez movie I ever watched was "Maid In Manhattan" which was cute.   My taste in movies are things like the last Bond movie (No Time To Die) which was very good and the remake of "West Side Story ".  Being a tennis fan, I watched "King Richard " (Williams sisters father) and it was better than I expected with some top notch acting performances.

B J, We'll that's disappointing! Just by seeing the trailer I thought it would be good. I was only going to watch it if I could do so for free anyway.

I have not seen this movie, but know the feeling.

a long time ago, I saw Random Hearts ...

it had major actors and director. Harrison Ford, Sydney pollack (sp) ... it was slow and never developed. I thought it might be intentional for the big payoff ending ..

I watched the whole thing waiting for something, anything...

I think it was a movie theater thing ...

I felt worse after putting myself through it ... a few hours that I could never get back.
my apologies if this is anyone's favorite movie.

Taking your words and descriptions -  I likely won't watch the movie you are writing about and you may have saved me from throwing away a few more hours of time.
