Love to see that Michael Buble has done a formal "cover" of My Valentine.  Not always a fan of  "Buble" but he has a huge fan base on "Adult Contemporary" Playlists.  My wife likes playlists on Spotify and Pandora and you always hear Michael Buble.

For Paul fans, this is a huge deal because "My Valentine" will get much  more exposure.  Haven't heard Buble's version yet but I'm sure I will hear it while we're traveling in the car.

Recently, I saw a "list" of Paul's greatest Solo songs, and the writer (don't remember who it was) surprisingly had "My Valentine" at #1 even above Maybe I'm Amazed.  I wouldn't go nearly that far but it is a great ballad.  I love Eric Clapton's guitar solo in the middle.

PS  I did love "Buble's" champagne" commercial

It was for sparkling water and he did several of them:  (So funny!)

Thanks NJR.  You always provide me with the videos.  I had forgotten but I think I saw this commercial first during last year's Super Bowl (or was it 2 years ago).

My next question...on Paul's page (in the "All News" section) who are the 2 other guys in the picture.  I think the one on the right is Michael Buble but I have no idea who the gentleman is on Paul's left.

He must be the conductor as he is holding a conductor's baton.  Nice sounding orchestra on that cover.

My Valentine is a great song. I've always thought that if Paul had recorded it during his Beatles years it would be regarded as one of his most classic songs.

B J, I know you meant to say who is the gentleman on Paul's right (our left) and I have no idea who he is except a lucky guy!😂

Of course the man on Paul's left (our right) is Michael Buble.

P.S. The first ad/commercial appeared in Super Bowl 2019, then more in 2020.

It's  always sounded to me like a long-lost George and Ira Gershwin tune, and that'a not bad company to be in.

                        Thanks Kestrel.

Personally, I like Paul's version (especially with Eric Clapton's great guitar solo) much better but Michael Buble's version will give Paul's song more visibility since he has such a big following.  My guess is that a high percentage of Buble's fans wouldn't even know that Paul was the original composer.

Yes.....and he has many many songs that would be regarded in just that same way.
