Just before Golden Slumbers he announced that this is the last night of the tour.

I was listening to it live on the BBC radio broadcast but it stopped before he came back to do his encores! Sounds like the crowd was having a blast!

Springsteen and Grohl back on for a 5 way guitar duel to finish Golden Slumbers

In Scotland, it is common to hear the phrase, "We're all Jock Tamson's Bairns", meaning "we're all the same under the skin" or "we are all God's children".

"There is nothing wrong with wanting Paul to sing certain songs, other songs, etc on his tours, but when it's said over  and over again throughout his recent tour (or any tour the past 10 years), time after time, it comes out more like negativity and complaining more than anything else. "

Ok, I will agree to disagree. I don't think hoping that Paul play more of his great music from solo albums is complaining, I call it a compliment. We are expressing that he is more than "Beatle Paul" with decades of great music we wish he would share with the audience. It is said over and over again to be frank because he tours quite often and his team says things like the set list will be "Minty Fresh" -lol. Even before the small show last night, they put out statement this show would not just be his standard set list and there would be surprises. Seems to me it was the same old setlist only a little shorter with no surprises.

I'll put some context to that mini rant, it's just when he started got to get you into my life I surprised myself by selling up from nowhere - it reminds me of all the gigs I've been to, he played it at my first in 1990, buying revolver Xmas 86, just my life. Paul's been my life, as he is for many here, but when you older (47) and an illness that gives you an uncertain future, you realise what has meant things to you the most, and Paul has made me so happy. And I'm happy he's still here, and his voice isn't what it was but it's not that bad. I get sick of negativity from fans. I love him, I'm glad he's not dead. And I wish I wasn't ill. Night night, I'm watching Paul on telly.

I agree 100%! Like I said a few weeks ago here on another thread, everybody has the right to their opinions and posts, but it just goes on and on here, it never stops.  I'm not saying everybody has to be sunshine and roses all the time, but the amount of negativity that goes on here... good grief.  No matter what Paul does or says, the negativity comes out and it's getting old.

Perspective from a life-long older fan:

May 30, 2019 Paul plays Greenville, S C. And I am on the sofa at home recuperating from over two weeks in hospital and rehab from severe sodium depletion.  It would have been my 18th concert;I gave our tickets to our son's. Parents-in-law.

May 31, 2022--Fully recovered and made it through the pandemic, I catch the Got Back tour in Knoxville, Tn.  No McCartney III in set list,  yes, four numbers would have been nice but in big picture doesn't matter, thankful I am alive alive and well as is Macca and that he still WANTS to hit the road after all these years, so rock on!

The problem with twitter is too many people have accounts -lol. Paul is still excellent musician with incredible catalog of great songs. His voice is not what it once was but he still can carry a tune. He is a freaking musical icon  and puts many young artists to shame even in his older years.

That is an awesome review and glad to see it !! Paul's show is perfect for the occasion, songs that people know and love to sing along , some neat fireworks (Live And Let Die) and he has two rock superstars join him. As mentioned many times before, Paul is a great showman and his love for performing shows.  His over twenty year touring band is excellent and they make quite a team. As one person who has "complained" with his setlist lacking solo songs, this is the one show it was perfect to concentrate on the hits.

Watched Paul's  Glastonbury show last night on BBC 1, Seemed liked the Crowd were loving every minute. Wasn't expecting Dave Grohl and Bruce to both turn up but they both seemed to give the gig that extra something !  Reminded me of when I saw Paul back in 2015 at O2 arena when DG also turned up and they did ISHST.  Yes noticed his voice was generally weaker on some songs but for a man who is 80 yrs of age and can still do a nearly 3hr show then fair play. After being no Festival/Live music for 2 years then its probably what everyone was wanting and hoping for and it seemed to have delivered.  One last thing not sure if anyone noticed but the BBC cut 'In spite of all the danger' as they were broadcasting an hr behind from when Paul started.

I read that Dave Grohl had a T tattooed on his right hand in remembrance of Taylor Hawkins. You can see it when he's playing the guitar.
