I thought VIP packages were "non-transferable"?
If you sell a VIP package to someone, you have to be physically there at the venue to show your I.D. and tell them this other person bought the ticket from you in order to get them in.
Stub Hub is a different story. I have no idea how that mess works. Bunch of "legal" scalpers! 🤬 -

Stub Hub is a different story. I have no idea how that mess works. Bunch of "legal" scalpers! 🤬Stub Hub just posts listings from people who have tickets to sell. They don't have the tickets in their possession, they get sent out from the seller, amd sellers set their own prices. I have sold tix there for under face value just to get rid of spares and not take a total loss on a ticket. Looks like these people above are just selling the tickets, and for gold and silver, they are claiming that the seller will send you the merch. Which they can, since gold and silver are sent to the home of the original buyer. But not with Front Row. So not sure how that is going to play out, because as you said, for soundcheck you have to have ID to get in.

Not sure why I keep looking. It's crazy how many "verified resales" tickets there are. $4000 front row, $1600 side row... We've been following Paul and loving him and his music for a long time, but looks like we'll sit this one out. Don't know if it's Paul or Ticketmaster getting rich(er), but congrats to those who can pay that much. I have kids and grandkids who could always use help (not to mention so many others out in this crazy world now), so it doesn't make sense to me to pay those prices. I'll give my money to them and listen to Paul on vinyl.

You sound like a wise and generous person! ️️

I have used "Stub Hub" twice to purchase tickets to sporting events (NY Mets & Carolina Panthers). The baseball game (NY Mets) I actually got the tickets cheaper than face value and the ticket fee was less than Ticketmaster at that time, game was in 2009. I bought two tickets to Carolina Panther NFL game several years ago and only paid $10 above face value for each ticket, once again the ticket fee was cheaper than Ticketmaster.
Granted, major concerts like Paul McCartney lend themselves to bigger "rip offs" than a regular season baseball or football game. That being said, the two times I used "Stub Hub" were good experience.

Wise decision. You could go on nice vacation or help many others in need for $4,000 instead of giving it to a billionaire for entertaining you for a couple of hours..

I've used StubHub once or twice, both times have worked out exceptionally well.
The best experience though was for Desert Trip. Upon seeing the price of the best tickets ($1,600/ticket for the 3-day standing pit tickets, right in front of the stage), we ended up going with the $399/ticket GA for the weekend.
That first night seeing the Stones and Dylan was pretty abysmal. We were standing in the closest cheap section we had access to and could barely see a thing.
The next morning we looked on StubHub and those same $1,600 tickets were around $300. For a pair of them! There was no hesitation whatsoever in getting those tickets, haha. The husband took an Uber from the campsite to the pick-up spot, got the wristbands, and we were in the pit for the rest of the weekend.
I truly hope those of you who've been shut out of tickets for this tour due to the insane prices will get lucky closer to the concert dates. Prices do come down!

Just read on Facebook that Rick Glover has had trouble getting tickets too! If the original "Fan On The Run" had problems, what hope is there for mere mortals? jk Rick, if you're out there! ️️

John Oliver did a whole segment on Ticketmaster on last night's show. Thought I'd share.

Amazing. That Ticketmaster-Live Nation merger should never have been allowed to happen. That said, it would seem that the two could be broken up under anti~monopoly laws. I know these times are very demanding what with Ukraine War but when some sort of normality returns we should ask...Congress, where are you? Investigate please!

I'm sure the big ticket lobbies have Congress all sewn up.
