Beer Runs all night. Cigarette Smoking. Talking throughout the show. I have experienced all these things at Paul's concerts, and I know others have too. The amount of rudeness and downright disrespect towards other people at concerts nowadays is appalling! Comments anyone? Disagree? Vent!

Compared to other concerts I have been at the crowd at Paul's shows has been great and very respectful to others. I've had very very few problems at his shows I must say. In contrast, I went to see The Killers in Dublin a while back and the crowd was just ridiculous. No thought for anyone else at all.

I've seen concerts in three different countries (England, Canada, USA) and these things have happened in all three countries, and not just at Paul shows, mind you. I witnessed a near fight at a Neil Diamond concert, for goodness' sake. :

I posted this to Javi in Orlando thread..... I agree w/ you on many aspects... that's why I like seeing Paul in other countries.. the crowd has a good time.. and aren't pissy~ seems some could care less in the US "Oh I'm seeing a Beatle" type mentality.. Oh I never heard this song... lets split and go potty or something~ lets go on food & beer runs` wtf? if your paying all this money .. why not enjoy the show?!! is what I don't get.. some in the US are real uptight even on the floor I have seen ppl sitting an entire gig on the floor.. others Oh your bumping me.. you know what? shut the **** up.. just have fun!~ ssoooo yeah!! only time I been to a US gig was Roger Waters & people weren't all up tight.. I did a french fry run during intermission but rushed back.. there were ppl all over the place just "Hanging out" hahahah just my thoughts I don't think Javi is dissing the US .. theres just some crappy uptight people here.. why do they even bother going to gigs?

I think a lot of the people (and suits) at the shows have just been comped tickets. They have no idea about songs or importance of certain songs. And not just for Paul so that could be why they have no respect...they didn't have to pay for anything. Just another night out. :

Some are. Some are VIP ticket holders (a few of which who went to soundcheck, got loaded, and are now idiots at the actual concert), some are MPL VIP folks who pay the $270 floor seat price for seats in the first 10 rows (but don't get the soundcheck experience). It ranges.

I ended up covered in beer at The Killers concert AND Brandon Flowers had to stop a song because of a fight in the crowd. Don't even get me started on the overexcited school children who decided to bring a backpacks to a concert and jump up and down for an hour and half with them still on their backs hitting everyone else up the face!

I remember this guy in Cincinnati who kept wanting to jabber away during Live and Let Die and then the encore, kept asking me things and I politely replied, hoping he would go back to his beer. Really got on my nerves. We can all be thankful that these people quickly leave our lives when the shows is over, the pity is having to put up with them at all!

^^ you mentioned jabbering & it reminded me of the couple that broke up right behind me in Chicago. They were in 5th row & were yelling foul words & everything for quite sometime. Finally she left! Yes, they were drinking.

Same thing happened to me at a Bruce Springsteen show at Fenway. I've never had a bad experience at Fenway for games or shows, and this was a first for me. He was smoking dope all night and talking to his friend about where he worked, all this while I'm trying to enjoy my first Bruce show. After he threatened the woman next to me who asked him to knock it off, he stormed out. Good times. :

Chalk it up to a much ruder society these days. People are so self-centered, they dont care about anyone else but themselves. Like my loutish neighbors with their screaming kids who are outside from morning til night. They have lots of money, I would not be surprised to see them at a Paul show with screaming kids in tow. Just because they can. And if you ask people like this to quiet their kids down, they look at you like you are a big b*tch. Those are precisely the kind of people that can ruin anything--be it a Paul concert, a Broadway play or a neighborhood! I read an article the other day by some New Yorker magazine theater critic who was watching a play and some woman started jabbering on her cell phone DURING the play! He asked her to shut up and she did not, so he grabbed the phone and threw it down the aisle! LOL More of us should be like him!
