Since Paul has several days in between shows I wonder if he stays in one city or the other for a few days.  Anyone know?  I'm wondering because he'll be in Baltimore on June 12th.  Two days later Ringo will be in Baltimore.  It would be so FAB if Paul stuck around and came to Ringo's concert.  I can dream can't I?  Perhaps some of the band members  might stick around to see Ringo???

He doesn't stay in the city he just played. He goes back to "base camp" either in NYC or LA (whichever is closer to his next gig)

Neither is the private jet he uses, but he wants to go "Home" after each concert if he has a day or two break between shows.

I remember way back in 1993 when he played the then Blockbuster Pavilion that was broadcast live on Fox being surprised when the Charlotte Observer ran a photo of him and Linda checking into some small,  charming hotel in uptown Charlotte. In those pre-internet days, a number of fans found out and mobbed the place. I have the clipped photo in a box upstairs. I felt sort of cheated out as I had come back home for the show and was staying at my parent's house nearby (both now long gone and missed) and would have loved to have been there with the fans .  According to Beatlefan at that time as I recall, mostly on that tour he did stay at a "base camp" but think that was an exception for Charlotte probably due to TV preparation.  As Nancy,  says, probably still the case

He sometimes does stay in the city he's performing in, depends on how many nights he is there, etc.  But regardless, not sure Paul would be able to go see Ringo this year, even if he wanted to. Insurance companies are apparently not paying out if any shows are cancelled due to Covid.  So bands and tour crew have all sorts of restrictions being put on them by the insurance companies, including staying in their "bubbles" and not venturing out and about.  Pete Townsend mentioned this in an interview he did earlier this year.

Might remind Paul,of the Beatles touring days when everything was so tightly controlled due to frenzied fans.

I was at Paul's Wichita concert in 2017, and a member of his crew told me that Paul no longer stays in hotels during his tours, but immediately flies back home after each concert (which, as Nancy said in a previous post, is to a home base in either NY or LA).

The crew member told me this after the concert was over.   There had been speculation among the fans in Wichita that Paul could very well be staying in the same hotel as we all were... When checking in we saw Rusty, Abe, Brian, and Paul's personal assistant (who took John Hammond's place) in the lobby and elevators... and the crew had a bus parked out front with an "MPL" sign.   There was a "Rock Star Suite" in the hotel that Neil Diamond had just occupied, so it seemed logical that Paul would stay there too.

Because of this, there were fans (well, I should women) who were always hanging out in the lobby, or sitting near the elevators and exercise room.  Most of them weren't registered at the hotel.  The lady at the hotel registration desk (an older lady who was very  kind) told me it was becoming a problem, and asked me to tell them "He isn't here".... The guy working next to her then added cautiously "Even if that may not be true..."  She shhhshd him and all I could do was put my hand to my heart and think I stopped breathing for a sec, wondering if Paul was in the building.   I don't think I would have been a "Rosie" from the I Wanna Hold Your Hand movie, yelling "It's Paul!" if I saw him or his cardboard cutout...  but couldn't help fangirling for a sec

Anyway, not judging any fans there for wanting to see Paul... I'm in no position to judge, I myself made several trips to the lobby throughout the day... hoping people would just think I went there to get another free cookie....   But if he had come downstairs to take a walk or bicycle ride, I wouldn't have approached him or tried to talk to him at all...  I think fans just wanted to be able to create a good memory, and to be able to say, "We saw Paul, he was nice and waved to all of us." or something.  Just adds a little ray of sunshine to our day.

Anyway, I guess the point I'm trying to make is that for the above reason, the fans waiting around, the possible lack of privacy, etc., I can understand why Paul may feel more comfortable staying in familiar surroundings.   We probably shouldn't have WANTED to see him, and just busied ourselves with seeing the sites of the town, or just stayed in our rooms... but--- it's Paul

                            Thanks, Nancy!

Forgot to add that Rusty (of Paul's band) got on the elevator at the same time as me once, and he was polite and asked my name and where I was from.  I told him I was LadyLeslie on the Maccaboard, and we got to chatting, and I forgot to push the button to my floor.  The elevator went all the way to the top, and as he was leaving I started to exit at the same time and realized it wasn't my floor.  With a nervous giggle I said... oops, I forgot to hit my button.  He just smiled as he was walking away and raised his arm like "It's ok" and said "Good luck to you!"

I guess within the McCartney fan culture there's the limo watch... to see Paul arrive at the venue.... but the "Lobby Watch" has been a phenomenon in Beatle fan girl culture since at least February 1964!

No    Too shy to say that to a stranger....unless it would have been said on accident unintentionally   Will say that Rusty and Abe were very kind and polite to fans.  So were members of Paul's crew (roadies and tech people.) The guy on Paul's team that selects fans to go onstage, and also handled the limo watch was very down to earth and kind and chatted with fans while waiting for Paul to arrive.  (Is his name Bryan?)

Getting back to the original post of this thread... would be great if Ringo could make an appearance at Paul's show in Baltimore... or Paul at Ringo's show a few days later!  Hope it can work out somehow!

I guess within the McCartney fan culture there's the limo watch... to see Paul arrive at the venue.... but the "Lobby Watch" has been a phenomenon in Beatle fan girl culture since at least February 1964!

Cute story! You should have told Rusty "Sorry, I didn't mean to go all the way with you!" 😂😂

I know you'd never say that on purpose - jk! I think the guy's name is Brian. Most likely would be for Ringo to show up at Paul's concert  in Baltimore for an early birthday surprise on the 16th. Ringo is off that night and plays in Massachusetts on the 17th.

Ha! Brian (Riddle) has his own thread on here!

Yes, I think it is way more likely for Ringo to showup at Camden Yards, than Paul show up at the teeny tiny Lyric Opera House one of the two nights Ringo is there. Though, I'm not holding my breath on either as I think it would be most likely for Ringo to show up for Paul's birthday at MetLife Stadium rather in Baltimore, despite the coincidence of them being in town for up to four consecutive nights and three concerts.....

I should have said East Rutherford, NJ (MetLife) on June 16th. Got the locations/dates mixed up. Ringo IS off on the 16th, though.

As posted in the other thread, Ringo's tour has been postponed because 2 band members have Covid. So doubt that any Ringo appearances with Paul are happening now.

Regarding Wichita, he flew in, went to the show, and flew back out. He never went to a hotel. I was at the airport both times.
