Indoor Shows Volume
-
Hey-- As you can see in my bio, I have only been to one Paul show, and that was outside. How is the sound inside compared to the outside? Is it louder? I have already heard that the sound quality is much better, but I was just wondering if it was louder than outside, and if it was a volume that could do some damage. Thanks in advance!

I don't think there is a lot of difference just a slight one...Indoors is my favorite because it is smaller but I think the volume is very close to the same between the two, of course it depends on where you are sitting at either.

I have been to both. Paul is the closest to a perfect volume you will ever find. Not too loud and mixed perfectly Still if you are super sensitive you can take some foam ear plugs, but imo you're not gonna incur any damage with Paul I've heard bar bands that were way more painful

After the '93 outdoor concert at Anaheim Stadium it took two days to recover my hearing. That was the loudest I've ever seen Paul. But the sound was perfect for an outdoor show. The '05 show at HP Pavilion was also extremely loud, but it was a little muddy. The sound inside The Joint in Las Vegas was as perfect as I've ever seen him. Loud but not painful, and crystal clear. And the sound outside at Hollywood Bowl was fantastic, but it's the Hollywood Bowl. Great acoustics! Indoors or out, take some earplugs if you're worried about some hearing loss.

Indoor shows can be just as loud and sometimes the sound can be distorted depending on the building--sports arenas were not built for concerts. I've been to indoor concerts with horrible sound. And ear protection at any concert is never a bad idea.

I agree. The sound was not very good at the GA Dome (enclosed stadium for football) but was great in the arenas (Omni, Philips)

Well, if you're really close to the stage, you might want to cup your ears really quick for the Live And Let Die booms.... but beyond that, ears will be fine.

some arena's aren't meant for sound- just personal experience .. acoustics could be bad and echo...
