Who would you like to sing "Lennon" parts with Pau
-
Julian for sure! End of topic!
-
I think Julian sounds like what a son of John's would sound like. That's a big difference than sounding "like" John. The guy in the group Klaatu who sang "Calling Occupants of Extraordinary Craft" did remind me of John. The singer in the Hudson Brother's song "So You Are a Star" sounded like John, also.

How about Don Ho?

Yoko.

Tony Christie

Sean Lennon

Nobody.
I agree. The version of We Can Work It Out performed during the Back In The US tour was pretty cool in it's sparse-ness, both in terms of giving us a different, fresh look as well as giving the audience an eerie/sad reminder that several of the other major players from the Beatles have passed on. On the other hand, there are other songs, such as She's Leaving Home, Getting Better and I've Got A Feeling which features more than just Lennon harmonizing; he contributed lines in the song which he actually sung lead on. As far as I'm concerned, he/the band handled those parts just fine (even if they didn't sound exactly like John-it's a Paul McCartney concert afterall)

How about Ron Nasty!
-
Engelbert Humperdink.

I'd like to see myself up there on stage with Paul belting out Two of Us. "We're on our way home, we're on our way home, we're goin hoooooooooooooommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee."
hey, shouldn't this thread be in Yesterday?

Lennon's hard to replace but he is easier to replace than Paul. Meaning there are singers out there who can do a pretty good Lennon impersonation and I've yet to hear someone who can do all Paul can vocally. Julian is almost a dead ringer for his dad. If you don't believe me pick up a copy of Photograph Smile. It sounds like a John Lennon album in song and voice. It's a fantastic CD. If I had to pick someone other than Julian, I'd pick Robin Zander from Cheap Trick. The man Rolling Stone once called "the man of a thousand voices" can do it all.
I think Julian would be a perfect pick as well. For George, I'd go with Dhani (I hope I didn't mispell it!)
