Tutorial and tips for using Maccaboard for new and old members
-
Hi everyone,
Here is a new thread to share our tips and tricks to better understand Maccaboard. This is for both new and old members. I will post tutorials for my discoveries. Like the one that will follow. Don't hesitate to refer to it or post your own discoveries to help others. -
How to add images from our photo gallery or other application?
️First of all, one very important thing before we start. Check the extension of your photo. It should not be larger than 2048kb or more than 2Mb. Otherwise you will get this kind of message.
️
Or that
That's why try to find an application that can send photos in lower quality.
Part 1
In the first open a new message. You will see the bar with tools for editing the text or adding links. Scroll down on your left. For computers or tablets, you will see the thumbnail next to the emoji symbol.
Part 2
Click on the thumbnail next to the emoji icon. A menu will appear.
You have three options. Photo gallery, take a picture or route. Depending on where your photos are, choose the option. I chose the first one.
Part 3
Choose your photo and click on add.
This will appear on your screen. This is the code that will allow the photo to be displayed.
Uploading
Finished
You just have to click on the blue arrow on the right and it's done.

Have taken the photos in my house, of what I want to display here but can't figure out how's to do it unfortunately. Keeps saying ("image url") I don't have a url of my own photos. Why can't it say, like any other Site, "upload image". Much easier to do and understand🥺

@littlewillow Hi. I clicked on the icon you suggested for uploading my photos, but I never got the drop down selection box. Just got, "(url txt )" option. I can't do anything with this option

Did you scroll the green toolbar to the left? There's an icon next to the emoji icon. Here is the step e photo.

It worked perfectly for me! I just clicked Reply at top right, then on the far right icon and selected a pic from my photo gallery on my iPad, clicked Use and Submit!

You click Add, not Use (sorry)
-
@littlewillow This is fantastic! So easy to do! It’s like the way you post photos on Facebook!
️

@wandy You are clicking on the wrong icon if you see That is for when you’re using a 3rd party uploader like Photobucket.
-
@njr Yes I realised that after a while. I wasn't scrolling across far enough. I managed to scroll across to the corrected icon, but then discovered my picture files were to large
️ to upload.

Uh... Do you have an application that can send your photos in lower resolution? Even try to hijack one. For example I use Keynote which is made for slideshows to edit my photos in lower resolution. Try to find an app in this style.

@littlewillow Thanks for the info but it's becoming complicated. Not really worth the hassle just to upload a few photos. Thanks again.
