Navigation Page

Hi. When I go to the navigation page there is a section called, "unread messages". "5" is highlighted next to the word, "unread", yet when I click on the 5 "unread messages", it turns out there are no unread messages. Question. Why is it telling me there are 5 unread messages, when there are none.

@njr its the one with the word "NAVIGATION" at the top. Not being sarcastic or shouting. Just showing you how it's spelt and looks. Says NAVIGATION at the top, then a whole list of suggestions. Categories. Unread messages. Users. Recent. Tags. Popular.( sorry can't remember the rest)

@wandy I know what you mean. Sometimes it takes a while to disappear. Does it last long?

@littlewillow Yes. It lasts permanently. Very irritating. Last time it said, "4 unread messages" ( in red) I clicked on them and there was NONE. Grrrr

@wandy Hmmm this is really strange. I'm going to think about this problem.

Maybe because you are using a cellphone (sorry, mobile phone) and I’m on an iPad, it is different. I see no such page that says NAVIGATION.
ETA: Mine says this: Navigation Page. (No CAPS)
And I have no trouble with it. Sorry!

@wandy Are you clicking on the bell on the right top or the symbol that looks like a car on the left top? I think I know what your problem is (among other things!)

@NJR In iPade mode the display is not the same as on a phone. It's even very different. Why is it difficult to compare.

@wandy Wait, one more thing. Are you sure you read all your notifications. Sometimes you get lost in the notifications you read. It happens. That's why sometimes it marks you that there are still unread notifications. It's quite annoying I admit. Especially if you have a lot of them.

So you are not clicking on an icon? If you were on a PC/laptop I could help you!

Here is a screenshot of what I see on my Home Page:

There are no new posts at this time. Do you see the icon that looks like a car? (top left) That is where the number of all new posts will be seen in red. Now, at the top right is a thought bubble icon. That is where your private messages are. The bell icon lists all notifications (new posts addressed to you and PMs to you)
Do you own a PC or laptop? If you could get on the board through that, I bet your experience would be better.
