In the Yesterday forum there was a thread about an article that named 9 best Beatles song intros. Seems only fair that we do a similar thread for Paul solo/Wings intros. I'll start with a first nomination:

"I Don't Know." This one just knocks me out, and it's a perfect example of why Paul, though not the most technically dazzling piano player on the planet, has an absolute genius for using the piano to set a mood. It's moody, mysterious, haunting, and just perfect.

@bruce-m I don't know, err, "I Don't Know". Must be from his most recent albums. The last album I bought was "NEW". Haven't bought any since. I can't bear to hear his faltering ( once fabulous) voice. Breaks my heart. I would cite Band On The Run having a great intro. Then straight into Jet. Another great intro.

“I Don’t Know” is on Egypt Station.

I was finally listening to some CDs I got in Liverpool at the convention during Beatleweek. One is Jenny Wren/I Want You To Fly. Jenny Wren has a nice intro. And so does Calico Skies!

I was never intending to be this far away from the site... but, the issue of my password... it took me a LONG, LONG time to get back.... annoying... I kinda gave up... after 75 attempts.... But I found a way to... Get Back... I don't know how.... but, always great to hear from you... you're the real thing... And still going strong!... Love Ya!

When he opened with it...what was it? 12 years ago? (It was 2010) He did it all wrong. You need the darkness & suspense like he had in 76. So cool!😎

@wandy You're missing some genuinely great music. Though I change my mind periodically, on most days I consider Egypt Station his best post-Beatles album.

@bruce-m Yup! One man's ( womans) meat is another man's poison. I personally much prefer his 70s Wings period. "McCartney" was ok. Instant classics like Maybe I'm amazed, and Every Night. McCartney 2 was dreadful. Most of it was plinky plonkey synth 80s rubbish. Temporary Secretary was unlistenable tosh. But Coming Up was great! Loved the video too. But now we have issues with the great man's ( once wonderful) voice. I hate hearing it falter when he sings. It breaks my heart☹️ But anyhow, that's what I think. I just think he gets more inspired by being part of a band. Probably why his Wings albums were so good.

And your Spanish is a bit off. It’s “Mi no comprendo.” (My grandfather was from Puerto Rico and I took 4 years of Spanish in high school) 😉
