@njr Yes he was the estate manager😃

Found out recently through Louise’s obituary that Harold is still alive and is 88 or 89. Don’t know where he’s living now, but probably in Assisted Living or a Nursing Home.
There was another Harry Harrison who died in 2012 and it got reported to be George’s brother.

I live about 10 mins from Stratford, by bus. I always think of the Beatles visiting there, whenever I pass through.

I thought you lived in east London. Is this Stratford a different city than Stratford-Upon-Avon then?

There is Stratford East London, where the Beatles filmed, in Angel Lane. And there is Stratford Upon Avon, probably about a 100 miles away or more. Haven't a clue what the Beatles filmed there. I live about a 10 min bus ride from Stratford East London. In fact there is a very brief clip on Youtube of John and Paul having a chat outside The Theatre Royal Stratford. Here is a picture of the old Theatre.

@njr I have been to Stratford On Avon many times. I have met more Americans there than anywhere else, apart from London. Probably the Shakespeare connection. What is it about Americans and Shakespeare? (And Sherlock Holmes?)As for Stratford East London, your really missing nothing at all. Plus the parts where the Beatles filmed have been completey revamped. Angel Lane isn't a lane anymore.

I don’t know - we just love Shakespeare and Sherlock Holmes! In 2006, took my then 19-year-old twins to the Sherlock Holmes museum which was on Baker St. to the right of The Beatles Store.
                                    P.S. It’s Stratford-UPON-Avon (and Henley-On-Thames) 😂

I know. I just don't bother with such formalities. We both know what I meant. BTW. The Elvis Presley museum ( I think it was called "Elvisley Yours") was in-between the Beatles store, and the Sherlock Holmes museum. Both owned by Howard. He's a really nice fellow. Haven't seen him since before Covid. Hope he's alright.

He either sold the Beatles Store or died because Richard Porter (who also does London Beatle tours) now owns it. You’re not on Facebook, that’s probably why you haven’t seen Richard’s many posts about the store. He used to own the little Beatles store near St. John’s Wood tube station and he sold that, then later bought The Beatles Store.
I never saw the Elvis store and I was over there several times: 1993, 2006, 2011, 2016.
Found this on Google about Elvisly Yours:

Thanks for the info on Howard, and the link to the Sherlock Holmes museum, and Elvisley Yours. Will have a read. Strictly speaking the Beatles store next to St John's Wood Station is really a Beatles themed coffee shop, now called Helter Skelter. If you have been there you know just how tiny it is. You can't even sit inside. I have been going there for well over 30 years. Was going there long before Richard owned it. I think one of the reasons why he sold it was because at the time he bought it, and long before he bought it, Abbey Road Studios had no gift shop, so fans would go down to the studios take their selfies, walk across the crossing, etc etc, and then go to Richards ( Beatles) cafe, and buy coffee and buy any Beatles memorabilia. But once AR Studios opened their gift shop, the fans bought their ( Beatles) gifts there instead, and this really made a dent in Richards profits, and he decided to sell his Beatles cafe. Incidentally, i used Richard's voice for the narration for my Beatles London documentary, without his permission, and he might not like that. Please don't tell him I used his voice, he might not like it. I made my documentary just for fun, I have made NO money from it, so he's not losing out on anything. He just might think its a bit of a liberty to use his voice without his permission. Here is a link to the coffee shop in case you haven't been to it.

                                          Q. Why do hairdressers get to their destination before everybody else.
                                          A. They know short cuts.

I was in the BBFC Yahoo group, but left because Richard would put all his Beatles news on Facebook, instead of his Yahoo group. A BEATLES Yahoo group. Why the eff put his Beatles news on FB instead of his BBFC Yahoo group. It didn't make sense to me, so I left. I've known Richard since the 1990s, when he started his "Off The Beatles Track", Beatles magazine, now long gone. I have done his London Beatles Walks several times. He's met Macca twice whilst doing his Beatles walking tour just imagine THAT!!😳
