Veggie Meal at Sound Check
-
What kind of veggie food do they serve? Is it good? Thinking about doing soundcheck next year.
-
Al kinds of pasta dishes and vegetables. I'm not a vegetarian, but I found plenty of good food to eat.
-
Yeah...our appetizers were quite good. Stuffed mushrooms & some kind of veggie taco.
-
We had cheese and crackers and fruit before soundcheck and some pasta dishes, stuffed peppers, grilled tofu, a couscous salad and Tabbouleh for the actual dinner afterwards. Some liquor was included . . .some was not. There were also some non-alcoholic beverages readily available. I'm not a total veggie but I certainly didn't go hungry (altho I wasn't really there for the food!)

Varies by venue but there is usually pasta. Sometimes there are veggie quesadillas, bruchettas, couscous, rice, etc. I remember in Vancouver they had a very nice risotto station where they mixed in your choice of veggies (think made to order omlettes at a buffet brunch)
and usually some sort of dessert. SLOTix has to work with each venue to provide the food so it's never exactly the same.

Pick your own veggies - please please me and have that for my sound check! Being gluten and dairy free, pasta, cheese, and crackers won't work for me! Veggies rock!

At Missoula, I was able to fill up on stuffed mushrooms, salad, and green bean and grilled corn salad. The grilled corn was fantastic. I had seconds. Did I mention I'm gf? The appetizers I ate were mostly cheeses and fruit, so you might have to eat only fruit for that part. Everything was fresh and good, though.

I don't know if I will ever do a sound check, but this sounds FANTASTIC to me as a vegetarian. More artichoke hearts please! In this example, it seems like I would get my monies worth.

We did sound check in Missoula, and the food was great! My daughter is a vegan, so she couldn't eat alot of the food, including the amazing desserts, but there was still plenty of delicious food for her to eat. My friend did sound check in Fargo, and said the food was pretty bad, so I guess it greatly varies by location.

Sharon, the grilled corn was so good in Missoula in the green bean salad, that I had seconds. Yeah, I'm gluten free, so I couldn't have any of the wheat products on the wraps or desserts either. But, I got enough to eat.

Last night at Dodger's Stadium we were served various appetizers upon arrival; veggie skewers, crudite, stuffed mushrooms, quesadillas as well as an open bar. It was very nice. The delicious dinner following soundcheck started with a garden salad, cracked wheat salad, golden beet salad, vegetable lasagna, spinach/cheese enchaladas and rolls with butter. The also served various desserts of several pies (applee, cherry & berry) fruit tarts and vanilla ice cream. When these were consumed they put out cookies. There was plenty of food and it was all delicious. Enjoy your upcoming VIP experience.

Right. If you aren't gluten free or vegan, there is plenty of variety. If you are, you can't eat the wraps, bread, or desserts. The planners apparently don't care. It is easy to have gf desserts or corn tortillas for the wraps. Not so easy to have vegan desserts. The corn wraps would work for them, as well. But, it was all wheat. C'est la vie.

I'm hoping the veggies are plain and not spicy with black pepper or garlic - I have allergies to these.

Fan4 did you try to bring in any of your own food? I know you were thinking about it.
-
Wonder what would happen if anyone asked for a Hamburger? lol

No. Just left the trailmix in the room, lol. A little trusting exercise there. I was fine. Didn't need any bread or dessert anyway

Some are spicy, which is why I didn't dare eat those dishes.

Oh boy. Still thinking of bringing my own snack bars just in case.
