Mailing list problem

I’ve joined the forum successfully- obviously, and at the same time tried to join the mailing list,
four times, with two different emails. Each time I’m told I have successfully joined the mailing list and to check my inbox. But I have no messages, have checked spam and trash.
How do I know if I am on the mailing list? My daughter applied at the same time and received an instant email welcome. Or does joining the forum mean I am on the mailing list. Any advice welcome!
