@rwandering I thought Red Rose Speedway had already been done? I have a copy of it that I quite recently purchased....maybe a year or so. Everything sounds better.

RE: THE NEXT DELUXE/REMASTERED ALBUM FROM PAUL

RE: What albums do you listen to most?
I never listen to Wild Life or McCartney II. If I play solo Paul, it will be Flaming Pie and/or Band On The Run. Nothing else comes close. On Tug of War, I really don't care for Stevie Wonder's contributions. He makes it more about him on What's That You're Doing....he dominates the song.....and I never cared for Ebony and Ivory. I do like The Pound Is Sinking and Wanderlust a lot, however. Non Paul or Beatles?......it would likely be The Moody Blues and/or ELO. But.....I rarely listen to any particular album or individual artist anymore...not even Adele...and certainly not Taylor Swift!!!! I have playlists of favorite Newer Songs....all up to the minute..., favorite Older songs (60's, 70's and 80's) and Pop Memories...pre-Beatles era material such as Del Shannon, Ricky Nelson, The Skyliners, Gene Pitney, Roy Orbison......and many others from that era. Sometime watching a TV show...such as several series on Netflix, I hear songs that I really like but am not necessarily familiar with until I research or select a Sirius XM Station that plays new music, such as on alternative rock...Lewis Capaldi (Someone you Loved and Before You Go) and Twenty One Pilots (Stressed Out), for example. I look on line and buy quite a few that way......such as spending over $800 that I on iTunes so far!!!!

RE: New release of Red and Blue albums: NOVEMBER 10, 2023
@jimmix THEY ARE SO GOOD!!!! SO HAPPY THEY REMIXED AND EXPANDED THE ALBUMS....ENDING WITH THE INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL, EMOTHIONAL, AND VERY TOUCHING "NOW AND THEN." WE GOT THE GRAND FINALE TO THE BEATLES INCREDIBLE CAREER. THE BEST BAND EVER FINISHED IN GRAND STYLE. WE WON'T EVER SEE THE LIKES OF THEM AGAIN....THE MOST IMPORTANT MUSICAL FORCE IN THE HISTORY OF MUSIC.

RE: New release of Red and Blue albums: NOVEMBER 10, 2023
@jimmix I thought they would remix them and put them on as well.

RE: Paul McCartney Says He Used AI to Produce a βFinalβ Beatles Song
@yankeefan2 This is not the same as the other two at all. This is a real, properly done Beatles' song, not a footnote...touching, majestic....all we could have hoped for but never imagined we would get. I think you will change your mind.

RE: Mr McCartneys Buddy Holly recordings
@jackal It's too late even if he wanted to cover them. They would.....even had he done them several years ago....have just invited unnecessary comparisons. Now, he doesn't have the voice for them....or even for his own songs. IMO

RE: New Ringo EP with Paul collaborating
@jimmix tHE NEW SON
The new song Paul wrote for Ringo for his Rewind Forward EP is sort of okay. With Paul's musical gifts I would have hoped for something a little more catchy and memorable. This one isn't much of either, to my ears. The title cut is the best on the EP and worthy of purchase. "Feeling the Sunlight" is a pass for me.

RE: Parents naming their children after the Beatles
I would bet that when the parents of Lennon and McCartney call their daughters....they do so in that exact order!!
"Lennon, McCartney, time to come in now!" We can't have them call McCartney first and then ask her something like...."Where is Lennon?" !!!!!

RE: Ringo takes a tumble
One of those things that could happen to anyone....regardless of age. The stage appears to be a bit uneven...a place in the floor that sticks/protrudes up a bit higher that the toe of his shoe hit a bit wrong. It would be easy to stub a toe on it and take a tumble. He clearly wasn't hurt....except maybe his pride. He'll be fine.

RE: Paul McCartney Says He Used AI to Produce a βFinalβ Beatles Song
@beatle-ray It will be on the Blue Album (The Beatles 1967-1970) which no longer will have dates attached. (The Red Album will not have 1962-1966) Both the Red and Blue are being remixed with added songs to make 3 sides in each instead of the 2 they each now have. The Blue will have remixed versions of Free As a Bird and Real Love as well....along with other songs. My understanding is that the existing Past Masters CD's (Dreadful cover art) will be on the Red and Blue albums as well....which are singles left off proper albums in the UK along with the B sides to those singles. Other songs will be selected as well. The Red album, in particular, was very short, with fewer songs, and will be beefed up. This is what I have read about online regarding the next remixes coming out. There is to be an announcement on August 10th on just when the remixes will be released....but sometime in September seems the logical time frame for release.

RE: New Paul Compilation for 2024
@b-j-conlee I don't think "Driving Rain" deserved any songs from it. That, to me, is his low point. Never liked any part of it....starting with the cheap, cheesy album cover.
-
RE: New Paul Compilation for 2024
@b-j-conlee Yes, that one too.....and "So Bad." Paul's gift for gorgeous melodies is unparalleled!
-
RE: New Paul Compilation for 2024
@b-j-conlee For me, "Through Our Love" is Paul's "Here, There and Everywhere." It's that good!!

RE: New Paul Compilation for 2024
@b-j-conlee I would love to have a compilation of songs he's left off albums, released in other countries as singles, but not in America, or were B-sides of singles. Songs such as "Once Upon a Longago", I believe that's its name, I would love on an album. It would be like a new album with new songs. I question Paul's explanation of how or why he came up with "Pure McCartney" in the first place when he released the compilation. It was something along the lines of an office worker just casually saying to him: It would be great to have CDs of many of your songs that people could just play when driving across country...or something like that which didn't seem to make any sense. Some of Paul's explanations for various things he does just don't ring true. This was one of them. I mean, if he's going to come up with some reason for a huge compilation such as "Pure McCartney",., make it plausible and....pick better songs. If he can do that, I think a new and updated compilation would be welcome. Meanwhile, I am hoping he and Ringo can come up with some compilation to be part of the new and final Beatles song featuring John's AI enhanced vocal and Paul, Ringo and George. I would welcome updating the sound quality of "Free As a Bird" (and also picking up its speed a bit) and "Real Love" using that same AI technology. I think they will not just release that one song. I'm looking forward to it, however, in whatever form. I'm especially looking forward to hearing a remixed "Rubber Soul" and their first two albums...those three badly need to be updated with the new technology available. I am assuming doing that is in the works. They wouldn't just stop with "Revolver."

RE: Paul McCartney Says He Used AI to Produce a βFinalβ Beatles Song
@toris I wish they would use the new technology to go back and extricate John's voice on the two songs done back in 1995...."Free As a Bird" and Real Love." Jeff Lynne did a great job, but the songs could be vastly improved with AI. Maybe they could ever so slightly pick up the speed of "Free As a Bird," which was just too slow. Ringo's drumming is great considering what he had to work with, but it just drags the song along.

RE: New Paul Compilation for 2024
@b-j-conlee Well, "Bip Bop" should have never seen the light of day in the first place, let alone be on "Pure McCartney"! IMO "Pure McCartney" was 8 years ago??? Seems like it was just two or three years ago... or thereabouts!!! But, I agree that he has many songs that have not been properly released and should be. How does he keep track??

RE: The Beatles Mentioned on TV
That confused me a bit too. Did he (John) mean the live version of "Coming Up," which I liked, or the studio version on the album, which I sort of didn't care all that much for....the vocals were a bit too similar to how he sang the dreadful "Temporary Secretary." That album contained three gorgeous ballads/songs...."Waterfalls," the even more beautiful "One Of These Days" and "Summer's Day Song." When I bought the album, the vocal on "Coming Up" was not to my liking. But next up...."Temporary Secretary" sent me flying to the record player to shut the whole thing off. I never listened to that album again....not that I did then. Still haven't. The radio played "Bogey Music," and the DJ, obviously not liking it, said..."Well, at least he's still cute"....which he WAS on the album cover, but that was about it. Those are my thoughts on the whole thing!
