I have ordered the 8 colored vinyls reissues from MUSICVAULTZ as recommended by this site, didn't get any confirmation yet from them, did anyone order them from there or anywhere else and received them ?, would like any feedback on them or MUSICVAULTZ, are they reliable ? Thanks.

Came across a peculiar story on the Net somewhere, about the idea for "Pure McCartney" springing just from a requested playlist by Paul's "New York office worker" for lots of his songs for a road trip she planned to take. So Paul and she sat down and came up with some, and then he decided to use them for this compilation. I doubt that's how this came about. Don't you? :

No it is true, Paul said it himself in an interview I listened to yesterday in a program called All songs+1, he talked about it and about songwriting, that's why Pure McCartney is not really a best of or Anthology like a lot of people think it was meant to be, it is actually songs for a road trip idea by a worker in his office, he said and he though it was a great idea and he chose the songs he would like to listen to if he was on a road trip and he did, that's what he said.

I ripped the 4CD deluxe on my laptop to listen to them on the phone and in the car with USB, there was no media info for the first 2 CDs. like track names or album title, it just said track 1, track 2, etc... CD 3 and 4 were fine with track titles and the Album title, very strange, did anybody try that ?

I got mine yesterday delivered from Amazon and it does say manufactured in China on the back. I would say that you're not being ripped off. This is a legitimate release you have.

Thanks, I do feel better. although the sound is great on them I thought they were authentic, just surprised that he moved to China to make his albums now, At The Speed of Sound and Venus and Mars also were made in China, it used to be EU, as long as they sound great as they are supposed to be I am fine, I guess they want to save money as they don't expect them to sell a lot, imagine, I bought mine at HMV Toronto, Canada, and they only received 2 copies, glad I got one, I am debating whether to buy the Vinyl, it's $75, I will wait to see the reviews if it is worth it.

The beauty of Paul's albums is some of the "not so great songs" that he includes in these albums, I read reviews about SOS and V & M and some of the tracks in them , I mean I like every track on these albums, including Cook of the house, you see , the feel of the album is when you buy it fresh when they come out, and I did, Wings included Linda and her vocals was part of the band that made the Wings sound, yes it's a silly song, but it;s Wings, and the other band members made SOS what it is, if every track on the album is perfect as you want from Paul, then it's just another great album, but the songs on them, Spirits, Magneto, Must do and the rest give us the sound of Wings and what it was, just like Rockshow concert, it's not the best there is, but it's Wings and I love it, every song, and I love that I have Mull of Kintyre on a single ( vinyl ), I cherish it and love that it's not on an album, that''s what makes it special.

I just discovered that my Venus & Mars and Wings At The Speed Of Sound Deluxe Books are made in China, so are the CDs manufactured in China, they look great and sound great, but I was surprised to discover that, I know that mostly the ones from China are fake ones, especially the remastered Beatles reissues, I just wonder if all of them are from China then I know they're ok, are yours the same ?, I am in Canada and bought them from HMV here.

Hi, Yes, books printed in China and CDs manufactured in China. I purchased our deluxe books from Amazon in the States. I hope this helps to ease your concerns. Anita

on the cd in the small writing on the label it says manufactured in China, and the back cover sheet at the back of the book/box at the bottom it says printed in China.

HMV in Toronto, Canada been playing Ram continuously, they don't usually play Paul's music, they didn't play Kisses album, that tells you something about Ram.

Toronto struck me as a very "Paul town" when I was up there two years ago for the concert. The pre-concert get together at the Loose Moose was all-Paul, plus a local radio station played side two of Band on the Run that I happened to hear while in the hotel room in the early afternoon before the concert.

That happens when He is in town, if you listen to Toronto radio stations they rarely play Paul music, the occasional Band on the run or Jet on the 70s station, so sad, and no posters on the record shop windows when Paul's album is out, imagine HMV here had only one copy of the deluxe set and was sold, I had to ask them to get me one, still don't have it, but they had the vinyl which I got.
