[quote="BOYCIE"]I don't expect Paul to drop the Holy Trinity of Hey Jude,Yesterday,Let It be and the other concert staples, but songs like Drive My Car,Sgt Pepper,I Saw Her Standing There,Eleanor Rigby and Back In The USSR could be given a rest. I have been lucky, in that the 6 times i've seen Paul he has changed his setlist by about 16 songs,so it did feel a different gig every time, but in the 5 years since i last saw him in 2004 it's not changed that much.I think most fans don't expect obscurities, but Paul has such a vast back catalogue of well known songs, it need not be a hardcore fans only concert.I think surprises at a gig are what gives a audience a buzz and a adrenalin rush,if it's too predictable you lose that intense feeling.I just hope if he tours we will get a few changes just to spice things up and too lose the predictability of it all. Great points Boycie. I understand that the majority of the crowd at most Macca shows are "casual" fans and that we (the hardcore fans) are more in the minority. With that in mind, I would never be disappointed with Paul doing his "standards" at a live show. In fact it is kind of neat watching the "casual" fans go nuts when they hear the opening chords of Let It Be or Hey Jude. But I'm very pereplexed why Paul doesn't mix the setlist up to a far greater extent Even from a money point of view, a new "Live" DVD would sell alot more if he did more songs not on previous DVD's. The "U tube" videos at Cochella show Macca and band to be in fine form. But to open the Show with Drive My Car and then Jet AGAIN just doesn't make sense to me. It was great in the 2002 tour when he opened with Hello Goodbye because it was a surprise and hadn't been done before, but he needs to especially give songs like Jet, Let Me Roll It to you and Flaming Pie a rest. Not that their bad songs but no one is walking away from a Macca show saying "why didn't he do Jet". If he opens Coachella with a big surprise (i.e. Venus and Mars/Rock Show or So Glad to See You Hear followed by Junior's Farm then you have something. I would definitely buy a new Macca live DVD if he does something like that. And like you said, these are not "obsurities". Even for younger fans maybe not familiar with these songs, they are rockers that people instantly love and get the crowd going. Again, he would be attracting new fans just by playing them. Paul has such a great catalogue. It's a shame that Paul doesn't broaden his Setlist and throw more songs that could be great live songs into the mix.

RE: Paul McCartney - YouTube Videos
[quote="feact"]This is my fav for winning America Idol http//uk.
While arguably some of us wish that Paul would add more songs to his setlist and drop Let It Be and The Long and Winding Road, it's great to see these two songs get high profile recognition on American Idol. Both songs are true classics and they will always be remembered as Paul McCartney originals. -
RE: "Triplets Love Paul" with Paul!
Triplets Love Paul:
Thank you so much for posting this lindafan! It was very sweet of you! We hope that anyone who watches this realizes that this a small glimpse into a window of Paul McCartney's soul. It gives you a true sense of just how kind he is. He didn't do this for Make A Wish, charity, private pay or publicity. The only cameras rolling were his own. I wondered then, and still now, just how many men of his wealth and fame, possession of power, and magnitude of status would bend down before three children to play for them merely because he could see they love him. There are not many, if any, who would ever dream of doing such a thing. For one brief moment in time, Paul McCartney allowed not only our children to touch his life, but all of us who were there to see it as well. What a world this would be if all of our heroes gave so generously and lovingly! Triplets Love Paul
Triplets Love Paul, I too live in the Philadelphia area and was lucky enough to attend the same show. While the whole show was so memorable, your triplets at the end was just "icing on one of the most delicious cakes" I had ever witnessed. It's great to have this on video! My seats were a good distance away, so I couldn't quite see Paul's reactions/interplay with the kids as these "close ups" show us. He truly is a down to earth musical genius who hasn't forgotten his roots.

[quote="rich n"]The Kampachea version of Let It Be (Paul and Wings along with little help from his friends)... http//
&mode=related&search= Rich n, Yes, I am having the same problem. When you click on "See All Videos" and you begin to scroll down to new pages, they are gone. I guess a "free thing" can't last forever. Anyway, I love the '79 Kampachea Concert videos I saw... Let It Be, Coming Up, Every Night etc. I agree with some on this site who say that Paul's voice was in "peak" form at this time. The Let It Be performance here might just be my favorite of this classic song. I guess I am going to have to attend one of the Beatles'/Paul Conventions and try to buy some of these CD's. I just wish Paul would put more of his tremendous catalogue out legit so I could just buy them locally. I love the rarities I have seen on U Tube. For example, I had never seen Midnight Special from his Unplugged performance... or How Many People from Flowers in the Dirt...or Junior's Farm from the studio rehersal... or Lonesometown from the concert for Linda. Just so many great videos. What do you think is happening with Paul and U-Tube? Are they going to cut most of the videos out for legal reasons? Does this mean that Paul's long awaited Box Set or more commercial DVD's/CD's are on the way? I'm very curious.
