Hello old friends. Been a while, eh? Hope you're all okay.
Well, I'm just here to say I really
really
REALLY
wish I'd been wrong about Afghanistan.
But I wasn't.

Ah, to think of all the RWNJs that used to infest this board and how their heads must be assploding right now.
Carry on...

I don't blame Trump. Well, I do. He warned us that he was evil during the election. Now, he's doing whatever he can get away with.
I blame the Democrats who didn't vote. They didn't like Clinton, so they stayed home. These are the consequences. For the president, your vote probably doesn't count. It's not a democracy. But when you stay home, that leaves out senators, representatives, governors, etc. who are elected by popular vote. The Democrats who stayed home because they hated Clinton ensured that Republicans had enough of a majority to bow down to Trump and put another 3 or 4 Republicans on the Supreme Court. Trump will be gone sooner or later, but his judicial appointments will last a generation.
A lot of Republicans hated Trump, but they showed up to vote anyway.
"You KNEW I was a snake before you let me in."
I'm no fan of Hillary Clinton. She was the second worst candidate running. But in the end, she was the only other option.
It was that well know bleeding-heart leftie PJ O'Rourke who said in endorsing Clinton, "She's wrong about everything, but she's wrong within normal parameters!"
To steal a line regarding Australia's 2013 election, America decided to eat a shit sandwich just to prove how much they hate broccoli.
Hi folks,
Just thought I'd pop in and invite all good conservative patriots to give me another lecture on what a fatal mistake it is to appease tyrants and dictators.
Any takers?
The Charlottesville nazi rally was called "Unit the Right." If you identify as right wing or conservative, you might not be on their side, but they're on your side. And it's time you reflected on that.
And this, from one of the most conservative publications in America: http://www.weeklystandard.com/let-the-investigation-begin/article/2008118
So we just turn a blind eye to actual treason when the suspect belongs to the right party?

Wait a sec... $150 for the deluxe edition and we're still expected to DOWNLOAD the remaining content?? SRSLY???? How about just one less gilt pleather coffee table book and put the rest of the musical content ON AN ACTUAL DISC? I'll even pay $5 extra.
Riddle me this, patriots: What would the reaction be if a Democrat - ANY Democrat - referred to the terrorist attacks of 2001 as "seven eleven"? Where are the memes? Where is the mocking? Where is the balance?
SusyLuvsPaul:
Australia has had no mass shootings since tightening its gun control laws 20 years ago.
The mainland states tightened gun control even earlier. Tasmania was the weak link. Guess where the last mass shooting was that prompted national gun laws? So aside from that, it's closer to 30 years.
Are there any honest conservatives willing to explain to me what the actual deal is with Sarah Palin? I mean, is it just that she's a Republican and anything a Republican says is good no matter how incoherent it may be, or are you secretly embarrassed by her and unwilling to show weakness by admitting it?
They say those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it. There's another saying that history may not repeat but it does at least rhyme. So.... Who remembers when the invasion of Iraq was supposed to wipe out terrorism in the region? And who remembers how some of us warned that it would only lead to more terrorism as local warlords filled the power vacuum that would be created? No-one? Didn't think so. Carry on.
Riddle me this, patriots: Would now be a good time for Syria to use those weapons of mass destruction that Saddam Hussein gave them before he was deposed? Or did that not happen?

In case you missed it, David Hicks has won his challenge to his terrorism conviction before a military court at the US Navy base at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Mr Hicks pleaded guilty in March 2007 to providing material support to terrorism. It was a plea bargain in which most of his seven-year sentence was suspended and he was allowed to return home by the end of that year. In 2014, an appeals court ruled that material support is not a legally viable war crime for the Guantanamo court. Prosecutors argued his conviction should stand because he agreed not to appeal as part of his plea deal. That argument was rejected Wednesday in a unanimous decision by the US Court of Military Commission Review. http://www.theage.com.au/world/david-hicks-wins-challenge-to-terrorism-conviction-in-us-military-court-20150218-13ipkc.html Everyone who lectured me on how he was a terrorist, your apologies will be heard in an orderly fashion.

Here's all I have to say: If you're dancing on the grave of Brian Williams' career but you still watch Bill O'Reilly - who also exaggerated his war-zone experiences - then you probably have the wrong motives.
