I was there earlier, but the autograph hunters ruined it for the real fans. Paul was willing to stop and sign and chat if everyone would stay calm, but they all shoved forwards and he had to go straight in. Still, cool to see him.
I don't even understand the autograph business. I mean: Why would anyone BUY an autograph off eBay or whatever? The whole point of getting an autograph would be the experience of getting it -- not the actual autograph itself. Who cares about having a signature that Paul signed for someone else? Weird.
Exactly. They were trying to get him to sign little bits of plastic, which they then cut into the shape of a piece to attach to a hofner bass. They're only interested in how much money they can make from the autograph.
