Hi all - I can't find any cost info for VIP /hot sound packages this year. Does anyone know where I can find that info?I didn't do it in 2019 and don't want to miss out this time. Thanks!
You won't be able to find out definitely until you get into the pre-sale on Ticketmaster. If you have an AMEX card it starts Feb. 22nd at 10am local time of the venue and the code is INGOLD. Paul's presale starts at noon and the code is PAULGOTBACK.
In 2019, Hot Sound Package was $1600, Gold VIP $750 and Silver VIP $650. Front row (sides only) was $2100 and 2nd row was $2000 (seat only - no soundcheck etc. for 2nd row)
Thank you! Hot Sound prices stayed the same surprisingly. Wish I could say the same for non-VIP tickets. The new "official platinum" seats/pricing is awful and gross. Way to gouge the fans.
Luckily I got Hot Sound 3rd row in Amex presale. I looked at Fan Presale too out of curiousity and options look terrible.
Hate to tell you this, but this year they charged an additional $292 in fees on top of the $1600!! In prior years it was an even $1600 (or $1500 in 2013 & 2014 when I got Hot Sound Package) You said you just got Hot Sound - didn't they charge you any fees? What venue was it?
They did, but I assumed they always did that in previous years too. I was not so lucky! It's the price I am paying for not taking advantage in previous years.

I was not happy with the verified fan process. Waited in queue with 2000+ ahead for 12 minutes even though it seemed like I clicked immediately when the queue showed up. Completely nerve wracking!
But, finally got in and I went for Gold and got two seats just off center aisle in row 7. So I'm pretty happy about that. I'm even happier that the amount is in Canadian dollars! And Ticketmaster Canada doesn't seem to gouge with fees.

Package prices are as follows:
• Front Row Hot Sound: $2100.00
• Hot Sound: $1600.00
• Diamond Hot Seat: $850.00
• Gold Hot Seat: $700.00
• Silver Hot Seat: $475.00
Thanks for the info! Do you know if the prices are in US Dollars or Canadian? I assume US, but would be nice if Canadian
I just got my confirmed verified fan email (yay!) with info that I'll be getting a text with a link and code to purchase tomorrow. I'm not seeing anything with prices for the tix yet. Does anyone know what the range is for tix and all the packages? I think I'm doing Gold again but would like to know how much first.

Have many sold? I may end up listing mine...after seeing those prices!
Some over $300. People are nuts.

Nancy, you have ordered it, no doubt?
Which one? Paul McCartney, The Life? Not yet! I have already a stack of Paul/John/Ringo/Beatle books to read, but will get to soon (I'm mostly retiring effective May 1st)
Congratulations Nancy!

Does anyone know if he talked about the 18th anniversary of Linda's death last night before he sang Maybe I'm Amazed? (or any other time last night)
He didn't. He paused a bit as he introduced it and I thought he was going to say something. But then he started talking about Mary as a baby in his jacket in the video. I think he had to take a little moment though.

So what's with the board these days? Is everyone on here a critic instead of a fan? Sure Paul's voice isn't what it used to be. What did you expect? Sure, a lot of people don't like the setlist. You can't please everyone. I, for one, thoroughly enjoyed the concert. No matter what, Paul puts on a great show and I would never miss a chance to go and see him. He's still Paul McCartney!
Agreed! I was in Seattle and Portland and I loved both shows! Seeing Paul is always a treat, I would never pass up the chance. I was expecting activity on this thread to be more positive.

Confetti in Seattle tonight, so looks like it was just a Moda Center thing
Also Fresno. Incidentally, the mist that was released was very cold, and my friend commented it might have been them opening the hoses on the "Live and Let Die" fire supression system.
It was cold! It was really strange.

Yay. New tour! New songs! :
Well, he is paying tribute by opening with a Lennon song. I think he should have ditched Here Today and played AHDN in the middle of the set for John, and opened with a McCartney penned tune.
They both wrote it though. Lennon sings lead. The same could be said about Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite. Personally, I love the opener of AHDN. And even with his voice what it is now I still really like Here Today. It's heart felt and it gets to me every time - it's very touching. But I also like how he honors George with Something.
No, Paul did not co write AHDN and his contributions to Mr. Kite are minimal. He did create some tape loops for Kite, but that is it. What part of AHDN do you think he wrote? He wrote none of the lyrics. He did not write the verses, and he did not write the bridge. My point is, it is a Paul McCartney concert and he has written some pretty good songs. Why not open with his own song? And do AHDN as a tribute to John in the middle of the set?
He talks about writing the middle eight and helping a bit, meaning it's not a pure Lennon composition, just like BFTBMK. I wasn't implying it was a 50/50 effort. I don't see how AHDN could be a tribute. I agree he should open with a PMc song. He has a lot to choose from and he sells his Wings/solo career short. Getting Closer would have been my choice. BUT, since he's most likely to open with a Beatles song, I'm pretty happy with AHDN as a choice.
John wrote the middle eight, the only reason Paul sings it is because John wrote the notes too high, out of his range. Whatever. It is a great song. So are I Want To Hold Your Hand, She Loves You, and From Me To You, songs Paul ACTUALLY co wrote and sang lead on (with John). AHDN actually does not sound great with Paul singing lead on the verses. Why? Because John sang lead. Same with Mr. Kite.
I swore I read that in Many Years from Now about AHDN, but maybe I'm wrong. My memory isn't great Everyone seems to bitch about his set list being the same and then he does something different and people still bitch. Yes, there's other Paul songs, I could name 20 I'd prefer he'd open with. But as far as openers, I enjoyed it.

What song was that "house background" for?
For the "early" songs. In Spite of All the Danger. Love Me Do. I don't think it's anyone's house, is it? It's not 20 Forthlin Rd.
Thanks. And no, I didn't think it was anyone's actual house. Looks as if it could be a haunted one!
That's what I thought too! A little spooky.

My wife and I are flying in from Los Angeles for this show - can't wait! Any pre-show fan meet ups planned, or recommendations on spots for drinks near the arena?
I'm not doing any pre-show meetups/drinks, but here's a link to some places nearby: https://www.keyarena.com/plan-your-visit/pre-event-dining. Roy street, near the arena, has a lot of options as well.
I didn't get too many shots of it, but the screens added dimension to a few visuals. This one created a house effect.
