I have seen over 25 shows, and this one was fantastic! The crowd was one of the best I have seen. I was in 116 on the side of the stage and we were standing the entire night. He seemed like he was having a blast and he was very appreciative of the crowd response. He was more chatty than he has been in the past, expounding on his stories. The acoustic set was amazing and You Won't See Me was a real highlight. I loved the story behind I Want to Be Your Man and the song (which I had never heard played live) rocked the house. A Day In the Life brought the house down and when Bruce and Little Steven appeared it was just the icing on the cake. The Garden emptied at approximately 11:40 and the place was buzzing. Every conversation we overheard was what an amazing night it was. Even after seeing so many shows since 1991, he still delivers and there is no place in the world that I would rather be than at a McCartney concert!

RE: Pre-sale thread Newark/Madison Square Garden/Brooklyn/Nassau
There is always a thread on this site for the purchase of tickets at face value from people who purchased tickets and can't go. Always. Just keep checking, especially as the show gets closer. Also, the secondary market for Paul always seems to get softer (at least in NY) as the show gets closer. I think if you are patient you will be rewarded.

RE: Paul McCartney 2017 Rumors
I love Bob's clues. They are the first thing I look for when I come on this site during these pre-touring months. Piques my interest! Not looking to get into a squabble - Just want to let the man know he is much appreciated.

RE: Boston, MA - Fenway Park - July 17th - ARCHIVE
I have been thinking a lot about the posts I have read in this forum about the current tour over the last few days. I was lucky enough to see Paul at Fenway on Sunday. third row, dead center. My first soundcheck. I went with my wife and two kids, who also have seen him in Phili, St. Louis, Brooklyn, and Albany. I have seen every tour since 1990. I got myself so wound up reading about the decline in his voice on all the forum posts, I half didn't know what to expect. All I can say is that it was one of the most glorious nights of my life. EVERY time is see him, especially with my kids, it is a life highlight. Did his voice suffer a bit during Maybe I'm Amazed - OK, yes, a little. But who the hell cares?? It's freaking Paul McCartney. Here There and Everywhere - Amazing!! You Won't See Me ... What a treat!! Letting Go and Temporary Secretary ... you couldn't wipe the smile off my face. Flaming Pie during soundcheck --- awesome. The warmth and happiness in the crowd ... can't get that by sitting on your couch reminiscing about how his voice sounded in 1990, or 2006, or 2010, or whenever. Even the songs I have heard every concert where great --- BECAUSE I AM SEEING PAUL MCCARTNEY! OK - he's 74 and his voice isn't what it once was. To me (now that I saw him) it is all silliness. What else could I possibly have done on Sunday night that would have created such a wonderful memory? Nothing! All my forum post reading and worrying was energy wasted and time lost that I will never get back. What a night!

RE: Sound Check
I have a soundcheck at Fenway for my family of 4, including two kids. Is there a good place to stand in line when they line you up in order to be in the front? If you are among the first in line, do you get to stop where you want, or do they lead you to where they want you to stand? Where is the right place to be in line if you want a good location?

RE: Boston Pre-Sale Thread
You should call Fenway Park and ask to speak with security to inquire about bringing in a small step stool. I brought two folding step stools in to the Jones Beach Theater in NY for my kids when they were younger with no problem. It made a huge difference for them. Met Life would not let me bring them in when I went to see Springsteen due to security concerns. They have a policy as a Stadium not to allow any objects that can be thrown and injure someone. When I brought my kids to St. Louis to see Paul a few years ago, I had several discussions with the head of security at Scottrade Center and, while he was very nice, he would not let them in. See if you can make any headway at Fenway. It would be great to be able to name the head of security to anyone who asks and state that you spoke with him and he approved. In any event, if I were you, I would bring one and try to get it in. Worst case scenario is that you leave it outside by the curb.
