Just back from the show. It started much later than I thought it would. He took the stage around 8:50. Is that normal for this tour, or was he just late tonight? Highlight for me was Maybe I'm Amazed. His voice sounded so strong! I though All Together Now was great too, but I was partial to all the songs I never heard him sing before. I avoided all videos of the songs he premiered on this tour and was glad I did. Loved Your Mother Should Know and Rita, and Hi Hi Hi was a real thrill. Barclays is a great venue too. He seemed particularly chatty tonight ... same stories, but a bit more embellishment. I have two seats for Mondays show -- Section 8 Row 4. Great Seats and I can't go. If anyone is interested in them for face value let me know.

RE: New Stage Design
Are seats on the side of the stage OK based on the new set? Or are you better off being in the middle, farther away from McCartney, but perhaps having a better view of the "show"

RE: Fortaleza, Brazil, Arena Castelão, May 9th - ARCHIVE
I remember the Chaos and Creation setlist, that included I've Got a Feeling, Till There was You, For No One, I Will, Helter Skelter, and Penny Lane, many for the first time, as being a pretty special setlist

RE: "Out There" 2013 Setlist Critique and Suggestions
I saw that 1989 tour at Madison Square Garden. He had never played any Beatles songs live at the time, other then the few he played that are on Wings Over America. The show started with this unbelievable video that had the Garden in a near frenzy as McCartney took the stage. The whole place was standing, jumping and screaming. He then opened with Figure of Eight, and you could feel all the oxygen just sucked out of the room. I think that was the last tour that he opened with a solo song. I have seen him play about 20 times. The fact is, Don McLean can't play a concert without playing American Pie. The Stones can't play a show without playing Satisfaction and Jumping Jack Flash. McCartney will ALWAYS play those Beatles classics, because the majority of concert goers are people that are seeing him for the first and only time. That's the benefit of a 35+ song set list. There's something for everybody. I think his old set list was awesone. I think his new setlist is awesome.

nobodytoldme Don't sweat the small stuff. Let it go. You were the BEST on Saturday night when you reported the set-list live. Made a boring night very enjoyable. Thanks.

RE: Rockshow in Theatres
I'm so psyched for this movie. I saw it in theaters in Yonkers NY when it came out when I was 13. I sat through the full movie three times that Saturday afternoon, and right after the movie I bought this huge Wings wall poster. I don't know if any of you remember those enormous rock posters where the poster was like a collage of many squares of photos. Anyway, its playing right down the street from me next week, and I'm taking my 9 and 11 year old kids. Tickets already purchased for Thursday at 7:00. Then, taking the family to Barclays in Brooklyn on June 10th. Life is Good.

RE: "Out There" 2013 Setlist Critique and Suggestions
I'm seeing him in Brooklyn, having just seen the St. Louis show last fall, and I don't think there is a chance he plays Hope of Deliverance. Frankly, Off the Ground is one of my least favorite McCartney solo albums, and less then 10% of the audience would have a clue what he was playing. Generally, when he plays more obscure material (relative to his songbook) like Calico Skies, Only Mama Knows, etc., he plays it within the first third of a show. (C-Moon 2001 excluded). HOD seems like one of those regional songs like Michelle and Mull of Kyntire, and its placement in the setlist indicates to me to expect an acoustic Beatles song in its place in the US.

RE: Predict Next Setlist
I hope he doesn't open with Venus and Mars/Rockshow. He just opened with that in 2010. During that show, he also played Letting Go and Let Em In. If he is really changing the setlist, I hope he plays some songs that he has never played, or at least some songs that have been absent for 10+ years. I'd love to hear Penny Lane, Fool on the Hill, Here There and Everywhere, and For No One. From a Wings standpoint, the rumors sound really cool - Silly Love Songs, With a Little Luck, Listen to What the Man Said. From a personal standpoint, I'd love to here something from Back to the Egg, like Getting Closer or Old Siam Sir, or anything from Tug of War.

RE: What is the youngest age you would take your child?
I took my son when he was 6 and my daughter when she was 9 to Philadelphia in 2010, and last year we went to St. Louis when they were 8 and 11. They call them the best days in their lives, and for me, taking them there, was a dream come true. No time like the present ... plus, you just don't know how many opportunities you will have. Seize The Day.
