I wanted to and considered it and nearly booked it, but work happened so I have to do that instead. Its a busy week in these parts, next time hopefully. In regards to the Hampden gig I've been speaking to a few people recently who saw Paul for the first time and generally arent big Paul fans who said he put on one of the best gigs they have ever seen

Anyone going to this Scottish Beatles weekend?

The weather was pish today....thats coz Paul isnt here What a great day that was, cheered me up thinking about that show whilst stuck on a 12 hour shift at work. I wish he was at hampden again...or anywhere in Scotland (and if he brings the sun too)

Funny that this weekend had been the weekend of The 2011 Moonwalk - last year it was the same day of the Hampden concert so by the time I saw Paul, I'd walked 26 miles through the night, been in a medical tent, had 30 mins of shut eye, and ready to dance for 3 hours Nice to see the mile markers up around Edinburgh and thinking, "I went to see Paul McCartney this time last year"

and the weather was shit this weekend, yeah its kind of strsnge the moonwalk being early this year. You did well to do that and then go see Paul

Preferably I'd like for him to return to the MAINland this time. Travelling to Scotland last June was GREAT, one of my best trips ever but travelling to Scotland and London in Dec was HELL (took me 28 hours from London to Holland) so I prefer this side of the pond this time. Of course all you Scots can crash at my place

Hey I'm up for that too, no complaints about him doing mainland Europe thats for sure...if it makes you feel better I got stuck in Cologne in 2009 so I know how you feel

I didnt wanna lose this thread....and also its nearly a year since this concert....Hampden will be home to Take That for 4 nights. Whats that all about But btw for the Edinburgh folk...anyone noticed there isnt a 3rd act announced for the Edinburgh castle concerts yet (yes wishful thinking on my part)

so they should too, they will do quite well out of the taxpayer so they get enough 'gifts' from us. If it wasn't for tourism the royals would be gone by now. There actually is another royal wedding a few months later, Zara Phillips the daughter of Princess Anne will be marrying in Edinburgh, the reason I bring this up was there was another wedding booked there that day but they gave them money so the royals could have it and thats the side of the family I dont mind.

I think I'll do it too. I'm intrigued how the first come first served will work. It sounds like it could be good and get to meet fellow Beatles/Paul fans who are Scottish will be brilliant

Are the Americans more interested in the British Royal family than the Brits are...I'm getting that feeling

I think medical issues is enough...thats a bit personal Anyway, best thing to do is not force people. If they ask you why you are veggie just give them a series of arguments and argue them well without getting angry. If they cant accept you being veggie then thats just ignorance. You can tell people or educate them about meat reduction, but really they need to come to the decision themselves.

yup a lot has changed since then thats for sure...I'm not bothered by it infact I'm quite glad because I'm not even going to be in the country when this wedding happens. I wish all the best to them as a couple but other than that the royals dont impress me as an entity, once the Queen goes I'm interested to see what the next step will be

I had to share this with fellow Macca fans because when I told my friends at work they just laughed at me Was in HMV killing some time just browsing and although I wasn't looking at the Macca section I was near it, when I heard a man ask the assistant where the Wings section was, she looked confused before he said 'you know Paul McCartney?' I of course had perked up by this point and she started leading him somewhere which wasn't right so I approached him and said where it was and told him about the reissues and all that crap, as I was talking I thought wow I really must get out more, this love for Paul is getting quite sad He was a nice guy, he then told me Wings over America is a fab album and I should listen to it Anyway that cheered me up after a tough day

I for a change decided to not comment on that one and let someone else make that point I know lots of Scots,N.Irish,Welsh and English (Brits) who have tats, mind you that might have something to do with the type of work I'm in
