Hi Martin, Has the problem with photos been resolved yet? Thanx

Hi Martin, Has the problem with photos been resolved yet? Thanx
1.Beatles 2. Slade 3. Thin LIzzy 4. Saxon 5. Rush 6. Queen 7. Bryan Adams 8. Bon Jovi 9. Alice Cooper 10. Status Quo
Alison Moyet. I have only seen her perform live once, as one of the support acts to David Bowie on his Glass Spider Tour, back in 1900 and frozen to death. She was awesome.
Brian Robertson / Dave Hill / Graham Oliver (not necessarily in that order)
Going to see Dave Hill tomorrow night in BIrmingham. He's doing a sort of Q&A session in the PMT Music Store. I'm really looking forward to it. Haven't seen Dave since December. K.O.R.
Apart from Paul of course, it has to be Jim Lea (Slade).
It was there but then it vanished. Board admin are kindly fixing it for me.
Thank you both. Fingers crossed when I press submit, I will have an avatar! Yeah! Photo uploaded successfully.
Hello. I would like to upload an avatar into my profile. I now have some nice photos from the Albert Hall gig (Thanks Shaun), but they're all over 20kb in size. Is there a way to make them smaller so I can upload one (I would need totally idiot proof instructions, such as "press this key", "left click the mouse" etc.) Or is there a library of avatars on here where I could upload one from? (I ask this as thisa is the case on a couple of sports forums I am registerd with). HELP! Thankx.

A truly talented guy, Therapy was so good its going to be a hard album to follow, but if anyone can JWL can
for gawd sake Diane, don't you go holding your breath, i'm only starting to get to know you
LOL! I'll try not to keel over mate! I'd hate to leave just now. So, what's your fave track on Therapy? Mine's "I wanna go out in style". Of his solo work, I prefer the things he did as "The Dummies," with Lou and Frank, such as "Didn't you used to used to be you". Happy to swap/trade Slade stories. I've got plenty!

This doesn't seem to happen much these days, sadly, but b-sides used to be 1/2 the fun of buying a record/cassette single. You knew you were getting a song you wanted on the a-side, and you got to check out what was on the b-side as an added bonus.
I used to like when the b-side of a single got more popular than the a-side. The best example of this from when I was a teenager was "Ice Ice Baby" by Vanilla Ice. Not a good/great song by any stretch of the imagination, but it was amazing how quickly that b-side took off!
Sadly there will be future generations who will not know what we are speaking about.
And Jasper Carrot's "Magic Roundabout" was the B side of "Funky Moped"!

Now we're talking! I'm still a massive Slade fan, you guys should check out Jim Lea's 2007 album Therapy, its GOOD
Here is a preview.
I saw Jim just before Xmas. He told me he has another album in the pipeline, but it's nothing like Therapy. He said it would be released sometime this year but wasn't more specific. It took him about 10 years to do Therapy though, so I'm not holding my breath! My 2 fave musicans of all time, both bass players and both called James! James Paul McCartney & James Whild Lea. xxxxx

I don't know many girls who liked the Quo, good on ya

: Seriously
: I know plenty of women who like Quo - (Usually the same ones who also like Slade). Must be the era and style of music.

Thank God other people are having problems too. I thought it was just me! I shall persevere with it.
My all time heroes from when I was a teeneager. Noddy, Jim, Dave and Don. (I still love the Beatles though) I have been lucky enough to meet them loads of times over the past 35 years and I even got a birthday card signed by Dave and Don about 3 years ago! They're a great band, totally UNDER RATED, coz most non-fans only know them for that one festive hit from 1973. There's so much more to Slade than Merry Xmas Everybody! Listen to some of the B sides and album tracks. Out n out rockers and ballards that rip your heart out. Keep On Rockin'!
I love the Quo too - have done for years but only went to see them for the first time last summer at Alnwick Castle. AWESOME! Caroline was one of the first things I ever learnt to play on a guitar. I was actually lucky enough to meet them last July in London at the Hilton Hotel. I was there with a friend who was getting some things signed for her hubbie's surprise 50th birthday. They were all very nice, and made time to pose for photos, chat and sign things.
