Back in Brazil
When I read the lyrics I'm convinced these are actually about Paul and Linda. Read them. Thoughts?

I see the colored vinyl LP of ES is now sold out! I was considering buying one. I wanted to buy the whole set of colored vinyl LP's but at $30 each I just haven't been able to click on that BUY button. I annoys me that the 8 LP set is not discounted at all and priced at $240. You would tend to think that MPL would cut us fans a bit of a break here. Some of the super deluxe sets are expensive but usually worth the money. I don't feel the same way with the colored vinyl. Thoughts?

Only 3 songs I want to come back to. Well below old McCARTNEY stuff. COME ON TO ME, FUH YOU & PEOPLE WANT PEACE. THAT'S IT.
Biggest disappointment ... PEOPLE WANT PEACE is at least one minute too short. LOVE the drum beat and chant PEOPLE WANT PEACE at the end yet it ends way to early . He could have kept that chant/drum beat going forever ...for me anyhow.
Love the positive reviews though. One thing I noticed LONG AGO. Paul's entire sound changed ( for the worst for me )after the passing of LINDA. The harmonies and production ( some critized him of )are less & different.
The middle-eight of People Want Peace is amazing and has Linda-like backing vocals. I miss that sound and so glad he incorporated it in this song. I love Wings...and I think if he were to return to that sound he's have more #1 albums!
BTW, where is everyone?? Nancy R, SusyLuvsPaul, etc........this place is brutal with the quiet.

Egypt Station is freakin' fantastic--I've delved into my reactions and opinions on other sites including Ryan and Chris's Take It Away face book page clubhouse thingie and a couple other Beatle and Paul lovers sites and will go there time permitting later and write down what all I said and type it here. I'm chuffed cause he's got another big gig tonight in Montreal to check out. Excited !! He's on another roll (it to ya) to the extent of a number one album; Egypt Station's made it to number one as everyone knows and it's his time again. Way to go, man !! Magic Macca Music Man (smiley face) I've regressed to teenybopperhood from the feverish wonder of it all*** it's a "blast" as he sings on ES and gives me fever (laughs) in a Macca crazy frenzy which I notice many on the Net have caught too. We needed this. Absolutely!
Would def like to see what you posted on the other sites so I hope you'll compile it all. I just got home from work and admit I played the album several times today again at work through my Bose wireless Quiet Comfort II headphones and just get lost in the music. It is an amazing album and I like it more and more every day. Even played it while taking the PATH train from Hoboken to 33rd in NYC. I'll open my Target CD with the bonus tracks in a bit and see if I can get you those lyrics you wanted. Send me your email addr by PM. Now it's time to chill out with a few beers and a little ES on my HomePod.

Do I get a prize ? If so, I'd love to peruse and parse the lyrics of "Nothing For Free" and also the other bonus track on ES; I can't find them online. Pretty please? With a McCartney bowl of cherries on top? (smiley face) Would be ever so grateful, you know.
LOL! Well you're obviously an educated woman as well. Impressed. To me the "sailors' warning" phrase stuck out to me like a sore thumb the first time I listened. Just happy it's an amazing album and I'm very "chuffed" that he's come out with something of this caliber. BTW last time I posted on this board was circa 2014 when New was released and I remember your cool avatar--glad to see you still here! As far as prize I was going to say "me" but reason got the better of me.

Same or similar phrase running through Egypt Station lyrics-- "broke the code" in Dominoes; "crack your code" in Fuh You; is that correct, Eric in N.J. ? Now I'm gonna go check out "Despite Repeated Warnings," see if it's in there. I've already checked out all the others for it except "Warnings" and I don't think it's in Caesar Rock or the Hunt You Down Medley. I can't find the bonus tracks on ES online, so I don't know if those have it.
You're good Susy!! You got the code one. He refers to the rhyme "Red skies in the morning--sailor's warning" well the latter in Happy With You and strangely enough the full rhyme in Despite Repeated Warnings. And the third is the mention of his brother in I Don't Know *and* Naked. I couldn't think of another ref to his brother and Nancy R came up with "brother Michael" in Let 'Em In.
Great job SusyLuvsPaul!!!
Hunt You Down is a great track...as someone else said I wish it was a complete song. Has anyone else noticed the semblance to Jethro Tull's Locomotive Breath? Almost the same guitar line though two different songs. I wonder if Ian Anderson has noticed.
The guy here that said the "middle-eight" of People Want Peace really nailed it! Not crazy about the whole tune but those eight bars are AMAZING! Great lyrics and beautiful melody--the background vocals are reminiscent of Linda in the Wings days. I love Wings! BTW, has anyone else here noticed the definite nod to Give Peace A Chance in that song? Coincidence? I don't think so.

New video for Back In Brazil. Remember this girl dancing on stage with Paul? We were right to suspect it was a set-up back then.
thanks for posting this Nancy. I like the video, especially the part where she sees Paul in concert.
But is this the next single? Is that why there's a video? This song wouldn't be my pick for the next single, imo.
I agree. But with Paul you never know. He is the worst judge of what songs to put out as singles, and the worst at composing a setlist!
Back in Brazil is a nice album track but the next single (hands down to me anyway) should be "WHO CARES". It has a classic Paul/Wings feel but "modern" at the same time. It is a natural follow-up to "Come On To Me". It rocks, is easy to dance to, and it has a great message. The subject matter is timely especially with all the "Internet Bullying" going on. "Who Cares" would hit the Audult Contemporary charts (like Come On To Me) in my opinion. It is one song on ES that could attract millenials and younger not normally Paul's audience. What do others think?
I'd rather hear Hunt You Down/Naked/C-Link or the bonus track Nothing For Free.
I was just now thinking about that medley, wondering if it would make a great single although three songs stitched together, and hoping it would. I wonder if "Naked" refers to his feeling floating in a fishbowl of fame with the spotlight relentlessly focused on him so he has to work to feel like a private person and himself and not the "big star"--something like that. And it's a drag to him at times. That might be too facile a reading of its theme, too glib. "Hunt You Down" sounds like a lament for one who got away, if that's not too glib an interpretation too.
He talks about the meaning of Naked in an interview and it's not quite what you are surmising, but interesting interpretation.
Hi, New Jersey guy--"He talks about the meaning of Naked in an interview and it's not quite what you're surmising"--could you be specific, and reveal his self described meaning of his song "Naked" from Egypt Station? I'd be very grateful. I'm curious as a cat.
Hi Suzy girl I wasn't holding out on you--I just honestly couldn't remember what he said, but I know it was a bit different than what you thought. It was on a YouTube clip about that tri-song...check it out, and I'll see if I can find it for you as well.

Anyone else?? Or is everyone oblivious? There were several common threads between songs.
Maybe you should just tell us. I don’t have the time today to do the research.
Nancy, Let's give the "amateurs" some time
you're a pro. I'm sure just one listen front to back and you'll pick them out. I did.
By the way, how many colored vinyl versions are there? I know Macca sells one--is there a green one too?
I received my "green one" last week. It was a limited edition from Spotify.
Green vinyl? Cool! Is it still available? How do you buy a record on Spotify?
