No problem

Hi everybody, recently I have been quite busy with recording a new song:'Run of the Mill' it was pretty complex to record because it has tempo and signature changes and different themes.And I recorded it all by myself I think it is comparable to compositions like 'A Day in the Life', 'Good Vibrations' and 'Band on the Run'. I mean structure wise of course The song was composed in February 2013 and over the next months recorded with intervals and trying out different styles. The song was finished in early July 2013 and then mastered by Ted Jensen at Sterling Sound in New York. On the recordings I use the Hoefner 500/1 bass guitar, the same model Paul is using for his live concerts. I hope you like it and here you can you listen to it: Soundcloud:

Rock Show Blue Ray. That was as close as I could get to go to the concert I never went to... I was 13 yrs by the time Paul came to Netherlands in 1976. But at that time most of my friends were into disco or prog rock like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd etc. Going to a Macca concert in my circle was not really considered to be a cool thing...going with my parents was also not an option. Concerning that times have changed ... recently I went with my 13-yr old daughter to an Alicia Keys concert (and enjoyed it ;)). Anyway, I didn't buy any tickets and that is one of those things I still regret not doing. A few months later I did see another cool concert when the Rolling Stones played in The Hague. The BR disc was very good, considered it was filmed almost 40 yrs ago....time flies!

Besides that I'm now working on a very ambitious track, it's a bit like Band On The Run,many signature and mood changes. Quite difficult to pull it off, but I hope to finish it within a week or two..I'll let you know when it's ready for prime time

Hi everybody, I recently released a new single on iTunes that I thought you might like to know about. I'm the very proud owner of a Hofner bass (exactly the same model Paul uses) which I used quite prominently on my new single "Our Leader". Although not really intentionally I think the bassline itself turned out to be quite Beatlesque Spotify:

Besides that there are lots of other examples of me using the Hoefner bass (a truly wonderful instrument!!). I hope you enjoy it.

I just discovered this forum today Been a long time McCartney fan and he has been inspiration for my own music endeavours. I think the most inspirational thing for me was the McCartneyI album. It showed me that, instead of playing in a band you could music as if you were a painter, so to speak, playing all instruments by yourself.. I am lucky to play the same bass guitar as Macca (Hoefner 500/1). I recently released a new album 'The Adolescent Years' where I re-recorded songs I had written in my teenage years.
