If Paul avoided countries that are cruel to animals he wouldn't tour anywhere. Maybe it's you who is being selective. Aren't they culling cats in Australia? His main campaign is against meat consumption, which is international.

I think it was down to a Jonathan Ross interview. Ross asked Ringo if there was anything he missed about Liverpool and Ringo said "no". Since he was raised in the slums it's hardly surprising, but a lot of Scousers didn't like it.

Paul's got too many fans in too many places for him ever to be able to do surprise gigs and make everyone happy. Maybe if they had continued with the idea of having a pay site that might have been more likely.Even with the Fun Club there were events that were only for people in London or New York, and most fans were disappointed.

Except if you look at the clip, it wasn't Stella wh o challenged him, it was Chris Martin. Stella challenged Angelina Jolie, who probably didn't do it either.The Ice Bucket Challenge had had its day by that point.

Zoe, I don't share the opinion that England is devastated that a tour hasn't been announced. He did a bunch of promotion in London for the new album(including BBC tapings and a mini free concert in Covenant Garden). He didn't do a signing in any of the recent places he has toured(but did one in London). I'm not in the least bit bothered about his touring schedule as he will eventually get back to the UK. Everyone feels differently in this situation but the facts point towards a returning in due time to the UK.

Agreed. I am most certainly not "devastated" and I'm in England. Of course he will do some more dates here.

I agree, I think this is a great song. I think its quite dark and has a real menacing atmoshpere to it. I don't think the timescale is right but Heather Mills always comes to mind when I listen to it (although I think I read somewhere that it may be about Geoff Baker).

Ha! There was a huge debate about this on the board at the time! Geoff really wasn't important enough to have a song written about him. I don't think there is much doubt now that it was about Heather- but Paul will never say, of course.

I don't get that anyone is being secretive. Paul was photographed when he came back to London and Stuart Bell said he was doing fine in the newsletter. How many more updates do people need? This is Paul's private time - he is not going to be putting out bulletins about how or what he is doing.Paul almost certainly intended to be photographed when he took the walk in London, and having given the press and fans what they wanted, went somewhere that the paps aren't.I think you can assume that the tour is going ahead as planned.

sorry, his spokesperson said he will make a complete recovery. We got an update, we seen him walking around London. Its great to see him out and about

Most people here didn't believe what the spokesperson said, anyway, so I don't really see what an update would achieve. Really, if people don't believe the evidence of their own eyes then I don't know what they will believe.

Mike has had to cancel a couple of shows, unfortunately. I wouldn't read too much into it.

The Beatles never announced their retirement and neither will Paul. He's clearly been very ill, so , realistically, we can expect work to be scaled down. We will just have to wait and see.

It's been ages since I've seen any photo of Paul with a dog. There was a photo from 5 or 6 years ago of Nancy in NYC out walking her dog before they were married. It's kinda sad to think he doesn't have a dog anymore but then you have to be settled in one place to have a dog. It's not really responsible or kind to the dog if you are moving constantly from London to NYC to LA (etc, etc), as Paul is.

I think he has said that is why he doesn't have any pets - at the moment.

Excellent post, RamblinRed. We have had people practically demanding information, and I find that rather disturbing. Really, we should know that Paul is not the type of artist to share this kind of information. We were given no information during Linda's illness, other than she was doing fine. Luckily, the internet was in its infancy then. Really, whatever we are told or not told will not make any difference to how Paul actually does. We just need to be patient and wish him well.
