Count me in as one that wants to see the RIC again. He IS using it, but only in the studio. It's popped up in the video for "Queenie Eye" as well as various clips and photos from the sessions for "New". He just never plays it on stage. I don't buy the "it's too heavy" theory because the Les Paul he plays is slightly heavier than the RIC. I think it comes down to Paul saying he has enough instrument changes in the show and doesn't like over complication. But who knows. He broke out the Casino, never thought I'd see that happen. The RIC is way more iconic as far as the tracks it's been played on (Rubber Soul up to the late 80's)but it never had the public exposure that the Hofner had.

RE: Received my copy of ram(mono version lp)
Audi, To the best of my knowledge, the mono mix was a promo only special mix done by Paul for th AM radio market which was still prominent at the time. Some tracks don't sound too different and others (Dear Boy, Smile Away) really benefit from the mono treatment. If you look on you tube you can find some of these tracks i'm sure. But it was a never commercially released mix, radio promo only which is why it is so rare. Hope this helps.

RE: RIP Robin Gibb
Very sad indeed. Especially after his recovery two weeks ago. What is going on this year?

RE: Beatles covers
I think parts of Booker T. & The MG's "McLemore Ave." Are quite enjoyable considering Idon't usually dig covers of Beatle songs.

RE: letting go ....pauls bass
I really don't understand why this one was dropped never to return. When I saw him do it in Charlotte and especially at Hyde Park, it seemed to get a great response and he seemed to ENJOY playing the song above anything else. Truth be told, it is such a deep track that I never expected him to ever pull it out of the bag, but if he'd bring this back in the set and keep Junior's Farm, I think it would be amazing. Seriously don't understand the removal of this track but keeping "Mrs. Vandebilt" for almost 4 years (although it is a great song).

RE: Wings songs that Wings did not release
1977- "Did We Meet Somewhere Before". From the London Town sessions. FANTASTIC song. Track it down if you've never heard it.

RE: Anyone else keep coming back around to...
It's certainly an album which has grown on me. I'd like to hear it with a rawer production or more stripped back sound. "Press" has a fantastic melody...great pop tune. I also like "Good Times Comin'/Feel The Sun" "Feel the Sun" just sounds so good. But my fav on the album is "Move Over Busker" It would sound so good live.

Maybe the Rickenbacker will make an appearance? It would make sense to help promote his solo reissues. Please Paul?

RE: Worst McCartney album?
[quote="quad73"][quote="Macsback"]the only song i dont like on Wildlife is, "I am your Singer" This would have been a nice addition to the MTV unplugged album in 1991 if Paul would have included any Wings numbers. quote] I emailed Robbie McIntosh via his website a few years ago and asked him about the lack of Wings tunes in the show. He said that "Heart Of The Country" and "She's My Baby" were rehearsed but for reasons he didn't know, Paul decided not to include them in the show. He also said "Wild Life" was rehearsed for the '89 tour.
