RE: Is Poverty eradicated yet?
True, that we need to change the way 1st world countries live. However, we also cannot ignore the problems of poverty and AIDS around the globe. while its true that poverty will never go completely away, there is a serious need for it to at least be minimized. There are people all over the globe who go through hell with AIDS and poverty. And they need to be helped.

RE: Make Poverty History, Bono...
The purpose of campaigns such as ONE are more to shed some light on the things happening away from our own countries. You may not think things such as AIDS and poverty are too important, since the ONE campaign helps only Africa. But it is an important campaign, and just because OUR countries aren't involved, doesn't mean we shouldn't help people in other parts of the world. Sure, we have problems in our own countries. But no where near the problems (health related mainly) that Africa does. So, by shedding light on the issue, the ONE campaign is helping us all help our brothers in need!

RE: Collecting Beatles Memorabilia!

Basically, I have CD's, LP's, DVD's of the Beatles, their solo careers, and of Wings. I have quite a few pieces of Beatles-related clothing. and I have tons of books and chord books. I have the Beatles Yellow Submarine action figures (I take the Paul EVERYWHERE--he is my travelling buddy!) I have pins, buttons, keychains and stickers--really anything cool I can get my hands on. Also, the guitars that I own and play were chosen because of the Beatles- I have a Fender sunburst strat (like McCartney plays, only with a light neck instead of a dark one) and I have an Epiphone Texan, a 1979 model. Which I chose because Paul plays a '64 Epiphone Texan and played it on YESTERDAY && JENNY WREN, and also played it on the Ed Sullivan Show.
I told you all a while back about my 1979 Epiphone Texan acoustic guitar. Not EXACTLY Beatles memorabilia, but Paul plays one just like it. Anyway, I was checking out my guitar's serial number, and I decided to email the company to find out exactly when it had been made. Turns out, the place where I bought the guitar had actually mislabeled it. It actually is from 1961! One of the earliest Texans Its older than Paul's, but its still FABULOUS! Here's a link to pictures of it, if you want to see: http://s186.photobucket.com/albums/x7/ximxinxtattersx/
