      Hello,

Does anybody know why the songs 'Slidin'' and 'Deep Deep Feeling' have switched places on Spotify?

By the way: I'm new here, so if I'm doing something wrong, please correct me.

The streaming/cd running order is  deep deep feeling / slidin / kiss of Venus. However to fit it on vinyl Slidin closes Side1 and Deep deep feeling opens Side 2 followed by Kiss of Venus.

You're nothing if not predictable.  Your periodic pronouncements are mediocre!

I love Get Enough & Sinatra‘s Party. I just don‘t have to like every leftover song that wasn‘t put on the album for a reason. And I rather find people predictable who feel obliged to like everything Paul puts out.

Wow this set is hardly exclusive : currently available in the PM shop for the US and in the udiscover shop in Germany. There must have been tons of returns OR it‘s not limited to 3000 copies worldwide.

It’s perfectly alright to release an overpriced collectors edition  - no ones forced to buy it ( I cancelled mine )

However there are certain aspects - let me call them issues of “common decency”

Even if Get enough, get started, nothing for free would have been included in the travelllers ES Vinyl 2....

Even if the CD included all bonus tracks on a 2nd cd ....

even if the number was written - or better still engraved - on the suitcase and not just printed on paper tags....

the Traveller would still be overpriced. But that would have been OK.

It is the calculating that those 3000 hardcore fans who paid 360€ for the Traveller will have to go on buying the Explorer in order to get all bonus tracks on vinyl or cd to make their collection complete that I personally find despicable. Actually not true - it’s just very sad and unworthy of Paul.

Seemslike a big let down from what I read on another forum.

The “ big surprise” being a usb drive with videos of the 4 songs performed live and wav files of the “ old “ bonus tracks since they are not on the cd. Still not clear whether they are on ES Vinyl 2.

So glad I cancelled as soon as Explorer was announced. I ordered the 3LP coloured vinyl with all the bonus tracks and - hopefully a download card.

oh...and the number is on the paper tags not on the suitcase itself which is pretty lame for a strictly limited to3000 worldwide edition.

It seems thet’re Shifting the remaining sets around. They were sold out in Europe, now - that the US sold out - they’re suddenly available again for pre- order.

How much does everyone think it will be?

      I'm guessing $250-500.

Anything less than 300 would come as a big surprise.

It seems Strange to be honest that Paul deemed Wild Life to be a bigger remaster priority than some of the albums still to be done... He has never been very complimentary of it himself ...

Maybe they are TRYING to go somewhat chronologically?

The fact that they (Paul and Capitol) did Wildlife and RRS tells me that they will continue the "Paul McCartney Archive Collection" over the next several years.  There were some rumors after Paul resigned with Capitol that the Archive Series would end but thankfully those rumors were dispelled with WL and RRS.  I agree that Capitol and Paul made the right decision to release WL and RRS first since they were the oldest albums that hadn't yet been done.  I also think that London Town and Back to the Egg will be next since chonologically it would the the next set of Paul albums.  I hope they tag these 2 together since it would move the "Archive Collection" at a faster piece.  Like WL and RRS there is so much material (CD's and DVD's) during that late era Wings' period.

As a big Paul fan, here would be some of the "Archives" I can't wait to buy:

      * London Town and Back to the Egg Remaster - As said above, there is so much material...before his aborted Japan tour, Paul and band did a series of European concerts featuring "live" versions of "Egg and London Town" material" plus all the extra songs that didn't make either "Egg and London Town" albums etc.

      * Off the Ground - another period that Paul had a ton of songs that didn't make the OTG album.  Paul even released the OTG Complete Works CD ( I think it was a Japan and the Netherlands Release Only) but it is still a rare item to this day.  Paul and his OTG band (including  Robbie and Hamish) did a World tour where there are many rare "live" versions I would love to have on a bonus disc.

      * Run Devil Run - another short lived but fantastis Band that Paul put together after Linda's death to promote Run Devil Run.  Besides a Remaster of the Run Devil Run album, I would love ot have a DVD of their shows and a bonus audio disc of many of these "live" versions plus extra songs that didn't make the final Run Devil Run tracklisting.

*Chaos and MAF as a Set - again you have all the extra songs that didn't make it on either album plus the remastered albums.  I hope that MAF specifically would get the "remastering" treatment since there  was so much negativity surrounding the  overall "production and loudness" of the original MAF CD.  Conversely the original MAF vinyl apparently did not have this "loudness" like the CD had.

I just hope that we get these packages every year in the future so it doesn't take forever like the "snails pace" we were getting with the "Archive Collection" releases over the last 10 years.  If we get annual new "Archive Collection" releases  over the next 4-5 years, it  could be very exciting for Macca fans indeed.

I’ll bet “Flaming Pie” is next. London/Egg probably 2020. I doubt there will be other Archive releases.
