Very sad yesterday evening...
Such a chance to see Paul on stage at 3 km from my home will probably never happen again.

The 4 French gigs are officially cancelled.
Cancelled NOT POSTPONED !

I have a thought for you Syl76. It remains at least the gigs we attended together in Paris or Cardiff...
As John Lennon sung, nobody told me there'd be days like this. Strange days indeed.
It's now clear after Mr Macron 's speech: No event with audience before mid July.
We now only have to wait for the new French dates and to hope that there won't be any cancellation.
The main local paper announces that this gig is postponed in 2021 but without any information about the new date.
Same for the 3 other French dates.

Maybe only Paris will be cancelled / postponed, Lille & Bordeaux are not closed venues but opened stadiums.
Perhaps he can change the venue in Paris to one which is not closed? Then all French concerts would still happen.
Now all the events with more than 1000 people are forbidden in France even in open areas till April 15th.
This is the current situation but I'm afraid it could change and become worse in the next days or weeks.

Ligne2, Station « Les Près » puis navette et bus gratuits du Stade. Les navettes sont activités uniquement en événement stade.

Pour plus de confort, la circulation des métros est renforcée 2h avant l’événement et est prolongée après la fin de celui-ci.
You have several solutions to come from Lille. The easier is the subway line 1 but it will be very busy after the gig. It could be easier to use the shuttle (free bus) wich goes to line 2 station les Prés. Line 1 and line 2 meet at Lille Flandres railway station.
The last sentence means that they add subway trains before and after the event.
27000 with standing places in front of the stage.
First of the 4 French gigs to be sold out.
Uncredible, above all with other dates in Belgium and in Paris.
The first gig of this new tour will be great.
Confirmed on June 21st on paulmccartney.com.
Same date as Belgium...

cat 2 : 90,5
cat 3 : 119,5

Hi Sylvain
Did you read my MP (or PM in English )
A dream come true. 3.8 km from my home !
And I hope it will remain the first date of the tour.

For those of you who have seen him in France in recent years: One venue caused a stir as it had general standing rather than floored seating. Which venue was that?
And also, from previous years, how were the prices?
75 euros will be for the cheaper seats.
Generally in France there is general standing but sometimes behind some rows of chair.
This date has been announced by a French public national radio.
The stadium is located in Villeneuve d'Ascq at 6km from the Lille railway stations (and at 40mn by foot from my home).
Here is a little video showing how the stadium becomes a venue :
Lille: 27000 (covered Arena in the stadium)
Paris: 40000 (covered stadium)
Bordeaux: 40000
Lyon: 56000 (Ed Sheeran's record)
Total: 163000. Amazing for France !
The French dates (announced by a French national public radio) :
Lille: May 23rd
Paris: May 26th
Bordeaux: May 31St
Lyon: June 7th
