Yes, if you are hearing it for the 1rst or even 2nd time, the stories are pretty cool. Paul is not that naive to think everybody at the show has not heard these stories before especially in the youtube world we live in today. Is it that hard for Paul to put a different "spin" on a story he tells about a song?
I have come to grips with him playing most of the same Beatle songs because I get it that these are a big thrill for the majority of the audience. I just get tired of him playing 2nd tier type Beatle songs like "Benefit Of Mr. Kite" or "In Spite Of All Danger" for multiple tours instead of a Beatle song he has never played live.
Totally agree! With all the time off he's had since the 2019 tour ended, you'd think he could have re-learned "I Want To Hold Your Hand" as the opener and dropped the 2 you mentioned for any other John song and maybe blow everyone's minds by doing Rocky Raccoon!
Exactly Nancy. "Rocky Raccoon" is acoustic song that he would not need the band to practice it and it is easy song to sing. The crowd reaction would blow the roof off the arena -lol. "I Want To Hold Your Hand" is midtempo song that is a little over 2 minutes so not that tough to learn again. The entire band could sing the song with Paul to help with vocals because John and Paul sang the entire song together. See link below from Ed Sullivan show. Imagine the reaction in the arena if he opened with it and the media attention it would have grabbed - oh well.
Why don't the Admins of this forum/website ever read what we constantly write and get the message back to Paul?!
I was a moderator about 14 years ago. Unfortunately, they have no way to communicate with Paul.
I agree about Rocky Raccoon!! That would be an absolute blast!!
Not the Moderators, the Administrators. The same people who just posted about the new look of paulmccartney.com and asked for our input.
Sorry, my bad. Yes, I would hope the Admins have regular communications with Paul.
