RE: Doctor Who
I saw "Daleks in Manhattan" and I just laughed at the Dalek-Human hybrid. I just couldn't take him seriously with hearing a Dalek speak with a Brooklyn accent. Furthermore, he coulda been DALek Capone. And his appearance reminded me of Mr.Bean when he got his head stuck in the turkey in that Christmas episode. You decide, are these two twins seperated at birth? : Human Dalek - Oversized image, so please click the link

Daleks 'Doctor's scariest enemies' Press Assoc. - Friday, April 20, 2007 http://uk.news.yahoo.com/pressass/20070420/ten-daleks-doctor-s-scariest-enemies-5f8abb3.html The Daleks have exterminated their rivals as Doctor Who's scariest villains despite the creation of new hi-tech enemies, according to a new survey. The Daleks, which were almost left out of the BBC's modern Doctor Who, have seen off threats by new monsters such as the Beast and the Empty Child Zombies. A poll of 21,000 Doctor Who fans was commissioned to mark the Daleks' debut appearance in the third series of the revived BBC show on Saturday night. Nick Briggs, the voice behind the Daleks, said: "I've been fortunate enough to provide the voices for a wide variety of Doctor Who villains over the years, but the Daleks seem to have stood the test of time as the scariest and most iconic space terrors that the Doctor has ever encountered." Doctor Who senior script writer Russell T Davies said: "Every time the Daleks return we make them bigger and better than ever before, and this time, their plan is the most audacious Dalek scheme yet." He warned: "Even the Doctor finds himself out of his depth." The Daleks feature in a special two-part story, featuring David Tennant and new companion Freema Agyeman, set in 1930s New York. Doctor Who fans were horrified when the Daleks were originally ruled out of the comeback show after the BBC and creator Terry Nation's representatives failed to agree a deal - but they were eventually reinstated.

RE: Doctor Who
Doctor Who and the Beatles A clip from the 1965 episode 'The Chase' where the Doctor, Ian, Barbara and Vicki watch the Beatles play 'Ticket to Ride' on the Time/Space Visualiser. The original idea for the Beatles segment was to depict the band performing at a fiftieth-anniversary concert, with the Fab Four dressed up as old men. It appears that the musicians themselves were interested in the proposition, but it was vetoed by their manager, Brian Epstein. Subsequently, it was thought that an appearance by the Beatles on Top Of The Pops might be used instead, but no footage was available as most editions of the programme were destroyed after broadcast. A November 1964 recording of "I Feel Fine" was then considered. In the event, however, footage of the band performing "Ticket To Ride" at Riverside Studios on April 10th was made available to Martin's team. The Beatles had a guest appearance on Doctor Who in 1965 -- singing "Ticket to Ride." Afterwards, a traveller from the future remarks that she's heard of the Beatles, having visited their memorial in Liverpool, but that she didn't realize that the Beatles also performed "classical music." This is black-and-white Doctor Who comedy gold. The original recording of that particular Beatles performance has been lost along with a lot of the BBC library which was tragically thrown out in a great video tape purge in the 1970s. That Doctor Who footage is now the only visual record of that performance.

RE: Doctor Who
Hiya, Is it true from what I've been reading that John Simm (aka Sam Tyler from "Life on Mars") is going to be cast as the Master?! They are bringing The Master back, finally? This from Wikipedia on John SImm: "In February 2007, it was reported that Simm is to appear in the forthcoming third series of the BBC science fiction series Doctor Who, in the role of the Master, the Doctor's evil nemesis. The casting has yet to be confirmed by the BBC, and Simm himself neither confirmed nor denied such claims on BBC 6 Music in a February 13, 2007 interview. On February 21 Simm was seen in the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff playing the newly elected British Prime Minister Mr. Saxon, in scenes being shot for the final two episodes of the 2007 series of Doctor Who." How similar their jackets look? So, will the Master be regenerated from his incarnation from the 1996 Fox tv movie to John Simm? ![](http://wheelinspace.com/images/EnemiesMonst/master_rob.jpg[/img] = [img]http://www.telegraph.co.uk/arts/graphics/2006/01/04/btvsimm1.jpg) or will The Master regenerate from the Anthony Ainley Master? ![](http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/7/76/Ainlea07.jpg[/img] = [img]http://www.telegraph.co.uk/arts/graphics/2006/01/04/btvsimm1.jpg)

Behind the scenes of "Got My Mind Set On You" A person who was probably involved in the production of the video with a camcorder capturing the happenings of the making of "GMMSOY"in 1987. This is the sitting room version of the video. And the rumour can be laid to rest from seeing this footage that Bob Geldolf was not the stunt dancer for George in this video. You see the Georege-looking dancer getting ready in the make-up room and rehearsing his moves.
