RE: Black Sabbath are back
Black Sabbath may be back but it won't be the same without original founding drummer Bill Ward.

RE: If you think the Michael Jackson/Beatles thing...
Sly must have had a lot of parties in that van with all of the drugs that he bought!

RE: LED ZEPPELIN!
Led Zeppelin is my second most favorite band in the whole wide world, the first is The Beatles. Just think of all of the arguments that I started on LedZeppelin.com when I listed Led Zeppelin second to The Beatles. Take care.

RE: Metal/Hard Rock fans?
How's it going Paul McCartney / Beatles fanatics? I LOVE Metal / Hard Rock music. Believe it or not, numerous music critics has mentioned THE BEATLES as being responsible for starting Metal / Hard Rock music. The truth lies with songs such as "Paperback Writer," "Revolution" and "Helter Skelter" just to name a few. I love bands such as THE KINKS, THE ROLLING STONES, LED ZEPPELIN, BLACK SABBATH, DEEP PURPLE, METALLICA, VAN HALEN, RUSH, GRAND FUNK RAILROAD, AC/DC, GUNS N' ROSES and AEROSMITH just to name a few. This is a great thread! Take care.

RE: What Beatles Item did you last buy?
amandala85:
It was my b-day yesterday, so I got the Beatles Box Set and 2 T-shirts; 1 with Lennon saying "War Is Over" and another with a picture of the Beatles from the Abbey Road days
Hi amandala85! How are you? Happy late B-Day to you, I hope that you enjoy THE BEATLES Boxset. Take care.

RE: What Beatles Item did you last buy?
I am a somewhat expert in buying bootlegs and have bought hundreds from all over the world. I guess that you can say that I now have many contacts in finding what ever I want. ONE of the most recent as well as one of my most favorite is THE BEATLES LIVE IN JAPAN 1966 MEMORIAL by Misterclaudel Live Chronicle Series. This 2-DVD set highlights BOTH live Tokyo shows at the Nippon-Budokan Hall on 30 June 1966 and 1 July 1966. This set is without a doubt the BEST picture and sound quality EVER! For the first time EVER, you can now see the 1 July 1966 show in crisp clear picture and sound quality. There are also many documentaries and features in this set, too much to mention that are seen here for the very first time. If you can find this set, BUY IT! Take care.

RE: What Beatles Item did you last buy?
SandraCK:
Hmm... let's see. Five Beatle - og beatle related books (they are so cheap in England!), two dvd's about John and Pauls songwriting, a plain black and white "The Beatles" t-shirt, a keychain, a "Mr. Kite" poster ( ) , a shopping bag, a rubber soul sticker, plus I got the t-shirt with all the album covers for christmas. And yes, I went to the Beates store in Baker Street. Gotta love it! Unfortunately, I have a finite amount of money. Would love to have the Beatles trivial pursuit.
Hi SandraCK! How are you? WOW! I can tell that you love THE BEATLES! Ha ha! I think that is just wonderful! Take care.

RE: What Beatles Item did you last buy?
How's it going? I hope that 2010 has started off well for all of you. It definitely has for me. Ha Ha! What is the last BEATLES item that I purchased recently? I bought another BEATLES bootleg and not just any bootleg either. If you are familiar with Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab (MFSL), MFSL released the SGT. PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND in the UHQR ORIGINAL MASTER RECORDING format on Vinyl/LP in the 1980's. The album was originally packaged in a black box baring the silver with black print ORIGINAL MASTER RECORDING on the top of the box. The print in shining red says UHQR BY MOBILE FIDELITY SOUND LAB in the lower right hand corner of the box. On the side of the box, it says SGT. PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND in shiny red print. The inner album cover attachment is black with the red with black print saying ORIGINAL MASTER RECORDING on the top of the abum cover. However, the album cover has the UHQR BY MOBILE FIDELITY SOUND LAB in white print on the lower right hand corner of the album cover. Also attached is the Technical Specifications Manual along with a UHQR Certificate Of Authenticity with 2 Registration Certificates. I do own the original MFSL UHQR Vinyl/LP Record and it is the best sounding BEATLES SGT. PEPPER'S album that I have ever heard. For the first time, there is a CD release of this MFSL UHQR that was manufactured in Japan on a genuine original CD and not a CD-R. In my opinion, you will NEVER hear the SGT. PEPPER'S album that sounds better than this special release. This SGT. PEPPER'S release EASILY BLOWS AWAY the 2009 BEATLES REMASTERS Stereo version. You have to hear this to believe it! WOW, what a sound! Take care.

RE: What Beatles Item did you last buy?
How's it going all? I just purchased and received a Gold Edition 2-CD set of THE BEATLES LOVE SONGS album. This is not a legitimate release but the 2 CDs are REAL GENUINE CD's and not CD-R's. The sound quality is OUTSTANDING! It also comes with a 26 page booklet containing all of the lyrics. Overall, this is a GREAT 2-CD set. Take care.

RE: Remembering George
How's it going all? Thinking about it now, I find it rather odd that all four BEATLES are from Liverpool, England and yet, 2 EX-BEATLES would die in the U.S. One would die in the east coast in 1980 while the other would die in the west coast in 2001. Isn't that kind of weird? Take care.

RE: Remembering George
calicoskych2001:
It's hard to believe, but it was seven years ago today ( November 29th, 2001) that we lost George.
How's it going calicoskych2001? I hope all is well with you. Please bare with me, I just got home and am pretty drunk at the moment. Yes, it is now 8 years ago today that we lost George. I was in Sacramento, California at the time and my dear friend Brian Wilson was one of the last people that George would ever see alive while in L.A. George would pass away in L.A. I was so heartbroken when I heard the news. George was the youngest of all of THE BEATLES and yet, how could this happen? The world lost a great man and music lost one of its all-time greatest leaders. R.I.P. George Harrison, Born 24 February 1943, Died 29 November 2001 at age 58. Take care.

RE: What Beatles Item did you last buy?
How's it going all? I hope all is well with all of you. What Beatles Item Did I last Buy? Yesterday, I purchased three new Beatles Items from the internet. All three Beatles items are from the underground of Bootlegs and are as follows: BEATLES AT SHEA DVD (I hear this DVD is an upgraded improvement over the past Shea DVD's.), I have heard great things about THE GREAT CONCERT AT SHEA 2-CD SET that was so-called released in 2007 on the "His Master's Choice" label. This 2-CD set contains the Original Audio Internal Line Feed Recordings for the 15 August 1965 which includes all of the songs that were omitted from the original Shea telecast that was shown on TV in 1967. There are no overdubs. The 2-CD set will also include the original 1966 BBC Soundtrack. I'll let you know what I think of this 2-CD set after I receive and hear it in its entirety. The next CD I purchased is an imported CD of THE BEATLES AT THE HOLLYWOOD BOWL. I was told that this particular CD is an upgraded as well as an improvement over previous HOLLYWOOD BOWL CD releases. I'll let you know how this one sounds. Thanks for reading and take care.
