Unfortunately merged threads stay at their original place in the forum and do not show who posted last!
However you should have gotten a note explaining what had happened to your thread!
No, I received no note. Not happy. Not happy at all.
It doesn't do any good to send a notification to someone that their thread has been merged, because there's a glitch in the notification system here. I get notifications but they're all a month or more old. If you send me a notification today about a post, it won't show up on my dashboard for about 4 weeks. It's possible others aren't receiving any notifications at all. I informed Calico about this several months ago, she said she'd let the admin team know but I was told "don't count on it getting fixed right away." (I guess they were busy getting social media publicity / tour info ready prior to release of Egypt Station.)
Just a suggestion, but until this glitch is fixed, maybe the mods can send a message to users about changes to posts through the Private Message system (like on the old maccaboard) and not use notifications.
Unlike the white label "Sweet Thrash" 12in mix of Hope for the Future RSD release from 2015, I don't think this release is all that scarce. I got a reasonably priced copy from eBay (UK) and one seller still has 10 copies available for £13.64. Curiously the UK copies don't seem to be numbered.
Mine was less expensive. $15.99 (£13.64=$17.32) Can’t believe the pound is down to $1.27 today!!
Strange though that yours are not numbered.
17€ in Germany - not numbered either. My store received about 10 copies. Not very limited really.
I like the video alot. It's simple with the monochrome colours, funny and fun, cool concept with the characters and costumes, Paul is great in it (i think he acts really good as the doctor), Emma is brilliant in it with all the faces and expressions. Conceptually its his best music video / short imo.
Yeah, it would appear that you can only access it using the app. Bit of a frustrating thing, though: It appears that Full Screen is only available to premium users which is a bit of a ridiculous feature to lock out.
Not true. I am not a Premium user and was able to watch full screen.
Seems odd, since Simon says he's given up songwriting. He said in a recent interview that "something just clicked and said, 'I'm done.'" So it seems like for him, age is a 100% effective hindrance to songwriting.
Good. Hopefully they impode and America can be sensible and actually tackle gun oontrol.
The NRA throws fuel on the fire, but they don't provide the oxygen.
Nothing will get the illegal guns off of the streets.
Unfortunately that is what we live with, oobu. Really good point. I do think the sellers to minors and mentally ill should be held accountable, but we never hear that on the news. Probably because there are no consequences and they will sell as many guns as they can.
That's a real good interview...gives insight into his process, his creative thinking and inspiration for various songs of his, new ones.
And with all these massive monster hurricanes barrelling towards us one after the other, his diatribe in song against denying climate change is quite appropriate and welcome. I'm waiting on a big storm right now that's making a beeline and wondering what's gonna happen, and have a chilling vision in mind--it's called "Florence" and it won't be far from Florence (S.C.)
Ticketmaster is closing its secondary ticketing websites Seatwave and Get Me In, in a bid to combat touts.
"We know that fans are tired of seeing others snap up tickets just to resell for a profit on secondary websites, so we have taken action," said Andrew Parsons, head of Ticketmaster UK. The sites will be shut down in October.
The former Salvation Army children's home, where John Lennon played as a child, is to open its gates to the public under new plans to redevelop the historic site. Last Friday (17th February), the charity behind the scheme launched a public appeal for funds - 50 years since 'Strawberry Fields Forever' was released in the UK. Plans will include a training and work placements hub for young people with learning disabilities, a haven for spiritual exploration and an exhibition on the place, the song and John Lennon's early life around Strawberry Field.
