RE: Paul's upcoming album review they say its HOT!
OskarMcCartney:
Sgt._Pepper:
12 songs or 14 songs?? Someone posted the actual times for 14 songs. Maybe there are 2 extra songs for the deluxe edition?
Yes exactly! ''A 12-track album of the same name will arrive Oct. 15, McCartney announced late Wednesday, with the deluxe edition including two bonus tracks.''
So are the two bonus songs iTunes only, or will they be available on a physical CD release?

I obviously have no inside information, but I'd be wiling to bet the final clue, before a full on announcement, will be "ALBUM".

I would consider Fireman stuff more Paul songs than Kisses on the Bottom. Those were covers with 2 Paul originals.
yup agreed
So, is "With The Beatles" not to be considered a proper Beatles album since 8 of the 14 songs are cover versions? In my book, whether the artist wrote the songs or not, if they recorded the vocals its a proper album.
Spot on! Likewise Please Please Me? Not a "proper" album because there were heaps of covers and it was recorded in what, something like 20 hours? Sheeesh...
Moptops, Good catch....Please Please Me was actually the album I meant.

Surely, he's not the only one who heard it. You all need to find others who have heard it as well. How about the Mods here, maybe they were allowed to hear it. Anyway, get busy People - find others.
FINALLY! I've heard he is including the unreleased Wings song, "Love Take Me Down (To The Streets)" on the album. Not sure why, but I will take it. Perhaps he re-recorded it with Brian, Rusty, Abe, Wix and Randy Newman?
Doesn't sound like McCartney or Wings to my ears.

RE: Wings Over America & Rock Show DVD Reissue CONFIRMED
The original press announcement stated that ALL of Paul's albums would be given an archival treatment. Whether at means something like WOA or BOTR we don't know, but I believe all of the albums were in scope. Maybe things have changed, but that was the original intention.

RE: McGear - album from Paul's brother (with Paul's help)
I always thought "Have You Got Problems" had a Badfinger feel to it.

Mike! Thanks! Looks so cool!!! That is my program from the show!
yes, I'm seeing that besides the 3 books, it also have the tour book replica of the US tour (there are two more programs with different pictures, one from 75 and one from Europe 76), this looks great! but the price is around $300 USD!!
I find that hard to believe. Was that as an import? McCartney and McCartney II purchased together were not that much. What retailer is quoting that price?

No Rock Show included???
I am hearing conflicting reports about whether Rockshow DVD/Blu Ray is going to be included in the WOA deluxe edition or just a seperate release. Surely it has to be included in the deluxe edition . I assumed it would be as it is an obvious thing to do. The DVD/Bluray could also be sold separately.
Unconfirmed reports have Wings Over The World as the DVD released with the deluxe archive collection. Rock Show will be a separate release by Eagle Rock Entertainment.

Amazon Japan has got the pre-order page up. Exclusive t-shirt, DVD and Blu-Ray configurations, 'Wings Over America' and 'Rock Show'. 40-page booklet deluxe edition. Release date May 22.
40-page booklet? That'lll be skimpy compared with the previous releases. I've got a feeling this may have no bonus music whatsoever ...
I believe this information just pertains to the blu-ray/DVD release. That is a stand alone release from the archive collection of the Wings Over America cd.

I wish the song McCartney gave to the Everly Brothers "On The Wings Of A Nightengale" was done by McCartney and released as a single.
Oh Yeah!

I hope this doesn't mean delays in release dates for Paul's WOA archive release or his new album.
Why would it?
It certainly should not, but sometimes I feel Paul is very conservative when it comes to competing products within the Beatle family, much less his own.

Just saw this on FB: "Hear Music is planning a ?June-ish? release for the remastered ?Wings Over America,? the latest entry in the McCartney Archive Collection reissue series, Beatlefan has learned exclusively. And a highly reputable inside source tells Beatlefan the collection definitely will include a DVD of the ?Rockshow? tour film in addition to ?far more bells and whistles? than any of the other Macca archive releases to date. More details in Beatlefan/EXTRA! #317."
Hard to believe there were any "bells and whistles" besides Junior's Farm played in Australia in the 1975 part if the tour and more than any of the previous archive releases? I thought McCartney II had a ton of bells and whistles. This's great news!

RE: Does Paul have the greatest back-catalog of songs?
I don't think there's any doubt about it. YES!

RE: Complete Kisses
I don't normally weigh-in on topics such as this as I am not the most objective person regarding all things McCartney. Love the man and love the music.....that simple. I agree with Michelley's post above, regarding the audience this digital release is aimed at, but you can't overlook the fact that McCartney is also putting the new version of My Valentine on this release so it automatically becomes a must have for a completeist (just like me).
