I agree with everyone here saying we love you Ringo and would have loved you in the show just as we still do even though you weren't. However, Ringo, since you went AA and demand that on your tours all the musicians not drink any alcohol or use any drugs for the whole tour, maybe you've painted yourself into a box where a lot of musicians who still drink or smoke pot don't want to ask you to be in the show because they think you will say no anyway due to the usage of inebriants.

I always find it fascinating that people can find "reasons" to be for war....

RE: Why the Stones missed Live 8
That was a truly fascinating read. Thank you for posting it. John tried to teach us that political solutions don't work. The only thing that works is people power. I do not know the behind the scenes machinations and what leverages all the Sirs have on the British government, but at least they turned on the world, raised consciousness, and brought a huge gathering of people together to say with one voice something that needed to be said! Power to the people! I am dreaming of another event. All you dear Sirs out there. Please. Come Together either on the anniversary of John's birth (October 9th) or on his death (December 8th) and do a concert for peace. Let's bring out about a billion people all over the world to stand and say with one voice, NO MORE WAR!
