RE: So... why aren't you here?
why isn't pm on facebook? I realize there are imposters out there, that this forum protects against that - but fb is more fun! We can share more and is more up close/personal - I just like it better. It is very 'open' though and for that reason I have an alias for it - because I got tired of baby-sitters I hadn't heard from in 30 years and old classmates I didn't care to be in my stuff - in my stuff. commenting on my poems and pictures - what have you - so I deactivated and came back with an alias - so I can pick and choose who I want messaging me. I was on what I thought was pm fb then it dissappeared and some guy name Sebastian Beinik - an artist in Germany - was either pretending to be pm or just getting hits off fb for his own site from pm. It got weird. There has to be better control/security. I mean I am a 'regular' person and the 'open' forum was so 'out there' - I had to get an alias. I don't like the fact that people/anyone can put in your name and 'find' you. That is scarry. I don't want to be found unless I say it's OK - you know. Maybe that's part of why Macca isn't on fb wink '

RE: Hello from BEATNUT
Beatnut - I remember you on the discussion board - didn't a group of you go to the Raleigh concert - it was around 2004/5? Anyway I was there. I ran into Macca in Nordstroms coming down the escalator - I was walking by the pianist - then he walked by the pianist - I waved. Didn't try to go up - to respect his off stage "I'm just being a regular person" rights - shopping in Nordstroms. This was about maybe 4-5 hours before the start of the concert. I was so excited about the concert left my shirt at home - I was going to wear - so we checked in at the Wyndham and ran over to the mall - ran into Macca on our way out and then he left in a black SUV and we left in our black SUV. What a small world it is sometimes? Anyway that is my Macca story - seems I remember you and a group were going to meet up to go to the concert - if you're the same person I am thinking off. Has to be your name is unique! You have been on this board a long time. Macca is going to be in Piedmont Park in Atlanta, GA next month. That is my old hometown. Hope to catch the show! Haven't seen him since Raleigh. Good to see you on the board D

RE: Bar's open, drinks for everyone!!!
30 years ago getting high came in a pill or you smoked it. I think I liked it better then. People were more sedated and less ignited. We all used to hug alot - even strangers - and say, "have a nice day". That was a hippy and I bet it is weird to you. But it was cool to us and I never forgot how good it did feel. I could imagine us all as brothers and sisters. Today I wonder where that all went.
