Some good ideas here.
As far as the soundcheck in terms of saving his voice, as a singer, the soundcheck is necessary to warm up his voice for the concert. It actually helps.
My Valantine absolutley needs to go. It was really cool seeing the Grand Central Station version, but then he's playing the same old version on tour? Like one poster said, playing "Happy With You" off Egypt Station and dedicating that to Nancy is 100x better. That's probably my 2nd favorite song off ES.
In Spite Of All The Danger and 4/5 Seconds need to GO!!
Hopefully when the tour starts in the U.S. next year it will get a proper FRESHEN up. AHDN was a great opener, but it's time for a new one. I'd vote for Help!
I posted a set list awhile back, but I think Paul should play Despite Repeated Warnings. My favorite from ES. It could start at the grand piano, then Paul jumps down to the main mic with a guitar or bass, like he does with Golden Slumbers. Then it goes into full Band On The Run mode with a Mr. Kite production, "how do we stop him, grab the keys and lock him up!" If Paul wants to be controversial, he could have images of Trump behind him on the big screen like Roger Waters did for "Money" on his recent tour. Abe has plenty of regular things to say about Trump on his twitter. Paul could then go into "C'mon People" from Off The Ground. And then into "Let It Be" etc. etc.
Personally, "Who Cares" is my least favorite song off ES. But that's just my opinion.
Rather than wish for songs like "Young Boy", "Rinse The Raindrops" or "When I'm Sixty Four" to make their way to the set in 2019, I'd take songs he's played in the past to Freshen Up the set such as the rare played "Another Girl" or past songs like "The Night Before", "Two Of Us", "Bluebird", "Fixing A Hole", "Mrs. Vandebilt".
And I don't know about anyone else, but I could use a little more cowbell on Live And Let Die. I'm telling you, Pablo... you're gonna want that cowbell in the mix.
