Yes, unbelievably lucky! It was a fluke that I heard about it ahead of time and something of a miracle that I was able to get a ticket.

Because YaleConnect had crashed, Yale later made waitlist tickets available on EventBrite. I was among those fortunate enough to have my waitlist ticket turn into an actual ticket to the event. For about 90 minutes Paul discussed his book The Lyrics with Paul Muldoon (co-author) and Yale professor Langdon Hammer. Paul talked about his family and their influence on him/his songwriting, his early musical influences, about writing with John and about songwriting generally. Unfortunately the moderator (Hammer) didn't successfully steer the conversation to Paul's solo songwriting, beyond Paul saying that John was so great to collaborate with that he still "checks" with him while writing songs. Paul told a few of his oft-told stories again, but I believe that most in this audience had not heard them before. Paul seemed relaxed and was given plenty of time to answer questions. I feel so fortunate to have been able to attend such a special event.
I believe the other guy is Trevor Jones (now deceased). He was a roadie with Wings.
You never know. Keep checking on line. It’s a bit tedious to do that but sometimes additional tickets become available.
Nancy, thank you for sharing your fabulous photos!
I think sec 109 will be okay if you're near the aisle next to sec 108. You will be fairly close to stage. The camera booms shouldn't obstruct too much if at all. perhaps someone else who's more familar with the garden could provide more info but i think you'll be happy with your seats.
I believe the presale is 9AM Eastern time? Isn't Detroit on Eastern time?
Merchandise packages for Gold Seats were mailed out. Try emailing slocustomerservice@slotix.com, tell them you never received your merchandise pack. Let us know what happens.
It's old hat now but i was there in halifax when the first of the sign me/tattoo people got pulled onstage. I believe her name was audrey but could be mistaken. It was such an unexpected moment and i was amazed he actually signed a person! Like i said, just part of the show now but that first one was really unexpected. And fun for the audience as well as the signee.
Cassidy Todd, PM for you.
Maccascruff, I too remember that it seemed a long way to get there from downtown Las Vegas. The parking lot was not even paved, at least where my friends and I parked. How did we all find our way around before GPS, internet etc? Got lost a lot, probably. Sorry, I suppose we ought to get back on topic - any tour rumors lately??
Yes, it was called Sam Boyd Silver Bowl. I think it's just called Sam Boyd Stadium now.
The password EMAIL brings me to what looks like a presale page that will have a link to buy regular tickets at 10:00 AM today (4/30). That password is from an e-mail I received from the venue (I'm on their Cyber Club mailing list).
There's a password/code area below the picture of Paul - I think if you put the presale password is EMAIL. Good luck.
Hot As Sun was performed live during the 1979 Wings UK tour.
Just to weigh in about that line of signs at Candlestick... one lot of signs absolutely did block the view of people behind - I was 4 or 5 rows behind and unable to see Paul while signs were being held up for quite a long time. People were shouting at them to put the signs down. I get it that they were trying to do something fun and grab Paul's attention and thank him/crew, but didn't he already "notice" all of them? Some of them go to a lot of shows and a lot of soundchecks or up-front seats - with his great memory for faces, surely he noticed them without their signs. BTW - there are other "fans on the run" who have traveled for shows for decades, aren't able to attend soundcheck, don't call attention to themselves, and aren't part of this particular group that someone has dubbed Fans On The Run.
The joy I experience hearing/seeing Paul perform live.
Wow, that's a lot of tickets to try to buy. I hope you've got other people trying as well! Ticket sales are very nerve-wracking and you may get easily frustrated. Even if no tickets are coming up, keep trying and you should be able to get something. Floor seats aren't easy to get unless you can afford to & want to purchase "VIP" seating which is quite expensive. Not trying to discourage you, just providing a dose of reality for you. But having said all that - good luck! I hope you and your family all get the opportunity to see Paul in concert. You will love it!!
Those who didn't get tickets today - keep checking Ticketmaster, as seats are sometimes released later, closer to the date of the show. It does require a lot of checking but might be worthwhile. Another route, as others have suggested, is try stubhub etc. Perhaps people who have bought tickets later in the game can provide some advice....
The more tickets you're trying to buy (for example, 4 together) the harder it will be. If you only need one seat it will be easier. Just keep trying, sometimes people throw tickets back as they're searching, and if you're persistent you should be able to get something. Good luck.
